2013-05-24powerpc/fsl: Introduce a generic pci-e compatible named "fsl,qoriq-pcie"Laurentiu Tudor
This will allow future code to simply check the pci-e controller version register plus getting rid of the redundant version from within the compatible string. 2013-05-17powerpc/mpc85xx: Update the clockgen node in dtsTang Yuantian
According to the e500mc hardware specification, the e500mc core can run at e500mc core complex PLL/1, PLL/2. So, for safety sake, we remove the PLL/4 on the platforms p2041rdb, p3041ds and p5020ds which can take PLL/4 as input clock. 2013-04-02powerpc: Update device trees to support DPAAAndy Fleming
The Datapath Acceleration Architecture devices are added to the SOCs which make use of them. Compile-tested only. The big changes from 1.3: 1) PAMU support now updated in each device to reflect new architecture which specifies the PAMU topology. 2) Virtual MDIO drivers are now specified using the new generic architecture. 2013-03-21powerpc/85xx: describe the PAMU topology in the device treeTimur Tabi
The PAMU caches use the LIODNs to determine which cache lines hold the entries for the corresponding LIODs. The LIODNs must therefore be carefully assigned to avoid cache thrashing -- two active LIODs with LIODNs that put them in the same cache line. Currently, LIODNs are statically assigned by U-Boot, but this has limitations. LIODNs are assigned even for devices that may be disabled or unused by the kernel. Static assignments also do not allow for device drivers which may know which LIODs can be used simultaneously. In other words, we really should assign LIODNs dynamically in Linux. To do that, we need to describe the PAMU device and cache topologies in the device trees.
