This is the final step to get rid of the one of the structures. A
further cleanup will follow. And I struct serial_state deserves cease
to exist after a switch to tty_port too.
While changing the lines, it removes also pointless tty->driver_data
casts.

It never worked there. The ISR was never written for that kind of
stuff. So remove all that crap with a hash of linked lists and pass
the pointer directly to the ISR.
BTW this answers the question there:
* I don't know exactly why they don't use the dev_id opaque data
* pointer instead of this extra lookup table
-> Because they thought they will support more devices bound to a
single interrupt w/o IRQF_SHARED. They would need exactly the hash
there.
What I don't understand is rebinding of the interrupt in the shutdown
path. They perhaps meant to do just synchronize_irq? In any case, this
is all gone and free_irq there properly.
By removing the hash we save some bits (exactly NR_IRQS * 8 bytes of
.bss and over a kilo of .text):

Note that a shared interrupt could not work too. request_irq requires
data parameter to be non-NULL. So the whole IRQ_T exercise was
pointless.
Finally, this helps us remove another two members of async_struct :).

tty_wakeup is safe to be called from all contexts. No need to schedule
a tasklet for that. Let's call it directly like in other drivers.
This allows us to kill another member of async_struct structure. (If
we remove the dummy uses in simserial.)

First, remove unused macro and rs_multiport_struct structure. Nobody
uses them at all.
Further, the 2 drivers (they are below) which use the rest of
structures from serialP.h (async_struct and serial_state) do not use
all the members. Remove the members:
* which are unused or
* which are only initialized and never used for something real.
Everybody should avoid the structures with a looong distance.
Finally, remove the ALPHA kludge MCR quirks. They are 1:1 copy from
8250.h. No need to redefine them here.
The 2 promised users of the structures:

Note that tty->ops->shutdown is called from whatever context the user
drops the last tty reference from. E.g. if one takes a reference in
an ISR, tty close happens on other CPU and the final tty put is from
the ISR, tty->ops->shutdown will be called from that hard irq context.
We would have a problem in vt if we start using tty refcounting from
other contexts than user there. It is because vt's shutdown uses
mutexes. This is yet to be fixed.

Like the rest of the kernel, make a stub from alloc_tty_driver which
calls __alloc_tty_driver with proper owner. This will save us one more
assignment on the driver side.
Also this fixes some drivers which didn't set the owner. This allowed
user to remove the module from the system even though a tty from the
driver is still open.

Keyboard struct lifetime is easy, but the locking is not and is completely
ignored by the existing code. Tackle this one head on
- Make the kbd_table private so we can run down all direct users
- Hoick the relevant ioctl handlers into the keyboard layer
- Lock them with the keyboard lock so they don't change mid keypress
- Add helpers for things like console stop/start so we isolate the poking
around properly
- Tweak the braille console so it still builds
There are a couple of FIXME locking cases left for ioctls that are so hideous
they should be addressed in a later patch. After this patch the kbd_table is
private and all the keyboard jiggery pokery is in one place.
This update fixes speakup and also a memory leak in the original.

First step to debletcherising the vt console layer - pick a victim and fix
the locking
This is a nice simple object with its own rules so lets pick it out for
treatment. The user of the table already has a lock so we will also use the
same lock for updates.

arch: fix ioport mapping on mips,sh
Kevin Cernekee reported that recent cleanup that replaced pci_iomap with
a generic function failed to take into account the differences in io
port handling on mips and sh architectures.
Rather than revert the changes reintroducing the code duplication, this
patchset fixes this by adding ability for architectures to override
ioport mapping for pci devices.

Retval not very useful, and may even be harmful. Once submitted, fabrics
should expect a sense error if anything goes wrong. All fabrics checking
of this retval are useless or broken:
fc checks it just to emit more debug output.
ib_srpt trickles retval up, then it is ignored.
qla2xxx trickles it up, which then causes a bug because the abort goto
in qla_target.c thinks cmd hasn't been sent to target.
Just returning nothing is best.

Setting the task name is done within setup_new_exec() by accessing
bprm->filename. However this happens after flush_old_exec().
This may result in a use after free bug, flush_old_exec() may
"complete" vfork_done, which will wake up the parent which in turn
may free the passed in filename.
To fix this add a new tcomm field in struct linux_binprm which
contains the now early generated task name until it is used.

Three power management regression fixes, one for a recent regression introcuded
by the freezer changes during the 3.3 merge window and two for regressions

Looks like change "PM QoS: Move and rename the implementation files"
merged during the 3.2 development cycle made PM QoS depend on
CONFIG_PM which depends on (PM_SLEEP || PM_RUNTIME).
That breaks CPU C-states with kernels not having these CONFIGs, causing CPUs
to spend time in Polling loop idle instead of going into deep C-states,
consuming way way more power. This is with either acpi idle or intel idle
enabled.
Either CONFIG_PM should be enabled with any pm_qos users or
the !CONFIG_PM pm_qos_request() should return sane defaults not to break
the existing users. Here's is the patch for the latter option.

This fixes the race in process_vm_core found by Oleg (see
http://article.gmane.org/gmane.linux.kernel/1235667/
for details).
This has been updated since I last sent it as the creation of the new
mm_access() function did almost exactly the same thing as parts of the
previous version of this patch did.
In order to use mm_access() even when /proc isn't enabled, we move it to
kernel/fork.c where other related process mm access functions already
are.

The usb/ch9.h will be installed to /usr/include/linux,
and be used from user space.
But le16_to_cpu() is only defined for kernel code.
Without this patch, user space compile will be broken.

This patch fixes merge conflict resolution breakage introduced by merge
d3712b9dfcf4 ("Merge tag 'for-linus' of git://github.com/prasad-joshi/logfs_upstream").
The commit changed 'mtd_can_have_bb()' function and made it always
return zero, which is incorrect. Instead, we need it to return whether
the underlying flash device can have bad eraseblocks or not. UBI needs
this information because it affects how it handles the underlying flash.
E.g., if the underlying flash is NOR, it cannot have bad blocks and any
write or erase error is fatal, and all we can do is to switch to R/O
mode. We do not need to reserve a pool of good eraseblocks for bad
eraseblocks handling, and so on.
This patch also removes 'mtd_can_have_bb()' invocations from Logfs to
ensure correct Logfs behavior.
I've tested that with this patch UBI works on top of NOR and NAND
flashes emulated by mtdram and nandsim correspondingly.
This patch is based on patch from Linus Torvalds.

A struct device parameter is used in the enable and disable callbacks to
distinguish between different gpio_keys devices.
Platforms that don't use these callbacks may not include struct device
at all, as seen on arch/arm/mach-s3c2410/mach-n30.c

Fix up conflict in fs/logfs/dev_mtd.c due to semantic change in what
"mtd->block_isbad" means in commit f2933e86ad93: "Logfs: Allow NULL
block_isbad() methods" clashing with the abstraction changes in the
commits 7086c19d0742: "mtd: introduce mtd_block_isbad interface" and
d58b27ed58a3: "logfs: do not use 'mtd->block_isbad' directly".
This resolution takes the semantics from commit f2933e86ad93, and just
makes mtd_block_isbad() return zero (false) if the 'block_isbad'
function is NULL. But that also means that now "mtd_can_have_bb()"
always returns 0.
Now, "mtd_block_markbad()" will obviously return an error if the
low-level driver doesn't support bad blocks, so this is somewhat
non-symmetric, but it actually makes sense if a NULL "block_isbad"
function is considered to mean "I assume that all my blocks are always
good".

1) Setting link attributes can modify the size of the attributes that
would be reported on a subsequent getlink netlink operation,
therefore min_ifinfo_dump_size needs to be adjusted. From Stefan
Gula.
2) Resegmentation of TSO frames while trimming can violate invariants
expected by callers, namely that the number of segments can only stay
the same or decrease, never increase. If MSS changes, however, we
can trim data but then end up with more segments. Fix this by only
segmenting to the MSS already recorded in the SKB. That's the
simplest fix for now and if we want to get more fancy in the future
that's a more involved change.
This probably explains some retransmit counter inaccuracies.
