2012-04-19x86, nop: Make the ASM_NOP* macros work from assemblyH. Peter Anvin

2011-04-18x86, cpu: Clean up and unify the NOP selection infrastructureH. Peter Anvin
Clean up and unify the NOP selection infrastructure: - Make the atomic 5-byte NOP a part of the selection system. - Pick NOPs once during early boot and then be done with it. Signed-off-by: H. 2009-09-10x86/tracing: comment need for atomic nopSteven Rostedt
The dynamic function tracer relys on the macro P6_NOP5 always being an atomic NOP. If for some reason it is changed to be two operations (like a nop2 nop3) it can faults within the kernel when the function tracer modifies the code. This patch adds a comment to note that the P6_NOPs are expected to be atomic. This will hopefully prevent anyone from changing that. 2008-10-23x86: Fix ASM_X86__ header guardsH. Peter Anvin
Change header guards named "ASM_X86__*" to "_ASM_X86_*" since: a. the double underscore is ugly and pointless. b. no leading underscore violates namespace constraints. Signed-off-by: H. Peter Anvin <hpa@zytor.com>
