There's no reason to use stop machine to search for hardware latency.
Simply disabling interrupts while running the loop will do enough to
check if something comes in that wasn't disabled by interrupts being
off, which is exactly what stop machine does.
Instead of using stop machine, just have the thread disable interrupts
while it checks for hardware latency.

As ktime_get() calls into the timing code which does a read_seq(), it
may be affected by other CPUS that touch that lock. To remove this
dependency, use the trace_clock_local() which is already exported
for module use. If CONFIG_TRACING is enabled, use that as the clock,
otherwise use ktime_get().

The hwlat_detector reads two timestamps in a row, then reports any
gap between those calls. The problem is, it misses everything between
the second reading of the time stamp to the first reading of the time stamp
in the next loop. That's were most of the time is spent, which means,
chances are likely that it will miss all hardware latencies. This
defeats the purpose.
By also testing the first time stamp from the previous loop second
time stamp (the outer loop), we are more likely to find a latency.
Setting the threshold to 1, here's what the report now looks like:

As default the TCLIB uses the 32KiHz base clock rate for clock events.
Add a compile time selection to allow higher clock resulution.

In mei_cl_read_start(), if it fails to send flow control request, it
will release "cl->read_cb" but forget to set pointer to NULL, leaving
"cl->read_cb" still pointing to random memory, next time this client is
operated like mei_release(), it has chance to refer to this wrong pointer.

This patch updated the data collection module driver. It removed
all the hard-coded parameters by detecting automatically.
Adding new board support will be easier in this way.

Don't set read callback to NULL during reset as
this leads to memory leak of both cb and its buffer.
The memory is correctly freed during mei_release.
The memory leak is detectable by kmemleak if
application has open read call while system is going through
suspend/resume.

The issue is happened in dual controller configuration. We got the
sysfs warnings when rmmod the ipr module.
enclosure_unregister() in drivers/msic/enclosure.c, call device_unregister()
for each componment deivce, device_unregister() ->device_del()->kobject_del()
->sysfs_remove_dir(). In sysfs_remove_dir(), set kobj->sd = NULL.
For each componment device,
enclosure_component_release()->enclosure_remove_links()->sysfs_remove_link()
in which checking kobj->sd again, it has been set as NULL when doing
device_unregister. So we saw all these sysfs WARNING.

When tests were added to lkdtm that grew the stack frame, the stack
corruption test stopped working. This isolates the test in its own
function, and forces it not to be inlined.

MIC card and host drivers are able to use virtio over the PCIe bus by
treating ioremap return values for the prefetchable BARs as pointers,
effectively treating I/O memory the same as system memory. However this
results in sparse warnings. Knowing that these warnings do not point to
a functional issue, this patch suppresses these warnings.

Endianness issues are now consistent as per the documentation in
host/mic_virtio.h. Sparse warnings related to endianness are also fixed.
Note that the MIC driver implementation assumes that the host can be
both BE or LE whereas the card is always LE.

Avoid declaring ALIGN() and __aligned() in
include/uapi/linux/mic_common.h since they pollute user space
namespace. Also, mic_aligned_size() can be simply replaced simply by
sizeof() since all structures where mic_aligned_size() is used are
declared using __attribute__ ((aligned(8)));

Two drivers (atmel-pwm-bl and leds-atmel-pwm) currently depend on the
atmel_pwm driver to have bound to any pwm-device before their devices
are probed.
Support deferred probing of such devices by making sure to return
-EPROBE_DEFER from pwm_channel_alloc when no pwm-device has yet been
bound.

This change fixes a problem of infinite zero byte write() without
an error status, if there is an attempt to write a file bigger than
EEPROM size over sysfs interface.
