2013-05-13staging: for dgrp, let nd_ps_desc always NUL terminated string within ↵Chen Gang
MAX_DESC_LEN length Use strlcpy instead of strncpy to let nd_ps_desc always NUL terminated. Change nd_ps_desc in nd_struct struct to MAX_DESC_LEN to avoid the confusion (the related length checking also need be changed to MAX_DESC_LEN - 1). git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/viro/vfs Pull VFS updates from Al Viro, Misc cleanups all over the place, mainly wrt /proc interfaces (switch create_proc_entry to proc_create(), get rid of the deprecated create_proc_read_entry() in favor of using proc_create_data() and seq_file etc). 7kloc removed. * 'for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/viro/vfs: (204 commits) don't bother with deferred freeing of fdtables proc: Move non-public stuff from linux/proc_fs.h to fs/proc/internal.h proc: Make the PROC_I() and PDE() macros internal to procfs proc: Supply a function to remove a proc entry by PDE take cgroup_open() and cpuset_open() to fs/proc/base.c ppc: Clean up scanlog ppc: Clean up rtas_flash driver somewhat hostap: proc: Use remove_proc_subtree() drm: proc: Use remove_proc_subtree() drm: proc: Use minor->index to label things, not PDE->name drm: Constify drm_proc_list[] zoran: Don't print proc_dir_entry data in debug reiserfs: Don't access the proc_dir_entry in r_open(), r_start() r_show() proc: Supply an accessor for getting the data from a PDE's parent airo: Use remove_proc_subtree() rtl8192u: Don't need to save device proc dir PDE rtl8187se: Use a dir under /proc/net/r8180/ proc: Add proc_mkdir_data() proc: Move some bits from linux/proc_fs.h to linux/{of.h,signal.h,tty.h} proc: Move PDE_NET() to fs/proc/proc_net.c ...

Include missing linux/slab.h inclusions where the source file is currently expecting to get kmalloc() and co. through linux/proc_fs.h. 2013-04-22staging: dgrp: info leak in dgrp_dpa_ioctl()Dan Carpenter
If "nd->nd_vpd_len" is less than 512 then the last part of the "vpd.vpd_data" has uninitialized stack information. We need to clear it before copying the buffer to user space. Signed-off-by: Dan Carpenter <dan.carpenter@oracle.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
2013-04-09procfs: new helper - PDE_DATA(inode)Al Viro
The only part of proc_dir_entry the code outside of fs/proc really cares about is PDE(inode)->data. Provide a helper for that; static inline for now, eventually will be moved to fs/proc, along with the knowledge of struct proc_dir_entry layout. Signed-off-by: Al Viro <viro@zeniv.linux.org.uk>
2013-04-09dgrp procfs fixes, part 5: per-node filesAl Viro
this "hooks" scheme is pointless - just make file_operations non-static and consolidate initialiazation bits. Signed-off-by: Al Viro <viro@zeniv.linux.org.uk>
2013-03-14staging: dgrp: cleanup sparse warningsNathan Zimmer
A cleanup patch to remove sparse warnings caused by my other patch "procfs: Improve Scaling in proc" since now proc_fops is protected by the rcu. Signed-off-by: Nathan Zimmer <nzimmer@sgi.com> Cc: Bill Pemberton <wfp5p@virginia.edu> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
2012-10-22staging: dgrp: fix some warningsAlan Cox
Just squashing these to get them out of the analysis queue. nd_ps_desc is an array not a pointer so comparing it with NULL is silly (be nice if gcc shouted about this). And there are some slightly pointless comparisons too. Signed-off-by: Alan Cox <alan@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
