2013-02-13staging: tidspbridge: remove redundant NULL check before delete_msg_mgr().Cyril Roelandt
delete_msg_mgr on a NULL pointer is a no-op, so the NULL check in bridge_msg_delete can be removed. Signed-off-by: Cyril Roelandt <tipecaml@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
2013-01-18staging: tidspbridge: use scm functions to set boot address and modeOmar Ramirez Luna
Instead of ioremapping SCM registers, use the correspondent layer to write into them. This allows us to get rid of a layer violation, since the registers are no longer touched by driver code. 2013-01-07staging: tidspbridge: use prepare/unprepare on dsp clocksOmar Ramirez Luna
This solves runtime failures while trying to enable WDT3 related functionality on firmware load, however it does affect other clocks controlled by the driver. Seen on 3.8-rc1. CCF provides clk_prepare and clk_unprepare for enable and disable operations respectively, this needs to be called in the correct order while handling clocks. Code path to enable/disable dsp clocks can still be reached from an atomic context, hence we can't use clk_prepare_enable and clk_disable_unprepare yet. Pull ARM soc general cleanups from Olof Johansson: "This is a large branch that contains a handful of different cleanups: - Fixing up the I/O space remapping on PCI on ARM. This is a series from Rob Herring that restructures how all pci devices allocate I/O space, and it's part of the work to allow multiplatform kernels. - A number of cleanup series for OMAP, moving and removing some headers, sparse irq rework and in general preparation for multiplatform. - Final removal of all non-DT boards for Tegra, it is now device-tree-only! - Removal of a stale platform, nxp4008. It's an old mobile chipset that is no longer in use, and was very likely never really used with a mainline kernel. We have not been able to find anyone interested in keeping it around in the kernel. - Removal of the legacy dmaengine driver on tegra + A handful of other things that I haven't described above." 2012-09-21staging: tidspbridge: fix return value check in dsp_wdt_init()Wei Yongjun
In case of error, the function clk_get() returns ERR_PTR() and never returns NULL pointer. 2012-07-06staging: tidspbridge: split bridge_io_on_loadedOmar Ramirez Luna
Due to its size, this function declares too many variables, to split it a new structure has been declared to hold values as they are read from the baseimage. While at it, indentation was reduced by renaming variables and reducing blocks of code with the following structure: if (success) { ... if (success) ... } This fixes the following warning: drivers/staging/tidspbridge/core/io_sm.c: In function 'bridge_io_on_loaded': drivers/staging/tidspbridge/core/io_sm.c:777: warning: the frame size of 1032 bytes is larger than 1024 bytes Signed-off-by: Omar Ramirez Luna <omar.ramirez@copitl.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>

2012-02-24staging: tidspbridge: detect wdt3 feature at runtimeOmar Ramirez Luna
In order to detect WDT feature on the dsp code, we need to find the symbol used to enable it inside the baseimage. This should fix the warning comming from L3 driver: WARNING: at arch/arm/mach-omap2/omap_l3_smx.c:161 omap3_l3_app_irq... In-band Error seen by IVA_SS at address 0 ... 2012-02-24staging: tidspbridge: always compile dsp wdt codeOmar Ramirez Luna
In order to detect it at runtime, we need the code handling wdt clock available at runtime to decide whether to enable or disable based on the baseimage symbols. Default timeout has been set to 5 seconds. Downside is that we will lose the option to set a custom timeout for overflow, but than can be added (if needed) as part of debugfs. Reorganized some code in the core module to increase its readability. Most of the changes reduce the code indentation level and simplifiy the code. No functional changes were done. Signed-off-by: Ionut Nicu <ionut.nicu@mindbit.ro> Signed-off-by: Omar Ramirez Luna <omar.ramirez@ti.com>

2011-02-05staging: tidspbridge: fix kernel oops in bridge_io_get_proc_loadIonut Nicu
The DSP shared memory area gets initialized only when a COFF file is loaded. If bridge_io_get_proc_load is called before loading a base image into the DSP, the shared_mem member of the io manager will be NULL, resulting in a kernel oops when it's dereferenced. Also made some coding style changes to bridge_io_create. Signed-off-by: Ionut Nicu <ionut.nicu@mindbit.ro> Signed-off-by: Omar Ramirez Luna <omar.ramirez@ti.com>

2011-01-20staging: tidspbridge: replace mbox callback with notifier_callOmar Ramirez Luna
Lately, mailbox callbacks have been replaced by notifier block call chains, this needs to be changed in the users of mailbox, otherwise compilation will break due to missing parameters. For this new change to work, io_mbox_msg needs to be compatible with the notifier_call definition. 2011-01-20staging: tidspbridge: configure full L1 MMU rangeGuzman Lugo, Fernando
IVA MMU can manage up to 4GB of address space through its page tables, given that it's L1 is divided into 1MB sections it requires at least 16KB for its table which represents 4096 entries of 32 bits each. Previously, only 1GB was being handled by setting the page table size to 4KB, any virtual address beyond of the L1 size used, would fall into memory that does not belong to L1 translation tables, leading to unpredictable results. So, set the L1 table size to cover the entire MMU range (4GB) whether is meant to be used or not. 2010-12-22OMAP2+: powerdomain: move header file from plat-omap to mach-omap2Paul Walmsley
The OMAP powerdomain code and data is all OMAP2+-specific. This seems unlikely to change any time soon. Move plat-omap/include/plat/powerdomain.h to mach-omap2/powerdomain.h. The primary point of doing this is to remove the temptation for unrelated upper-layer code to access powerdomain code and data directly. As part of this process, remove the references to powerdomain data from the GPIO "driver" and the OMAP PM no-op layer, both in plat-omap. Change the DSPBridge code to point to the new location for the powerdomain headers. The DSPBridge code should not be including the powerdomain headers; these should be removed.
