2013-09-23netfilter: Remove extern from function prototypesJoe Perches
There are a mix of function prototypes with and without extern in the kernel sources. Standardize on not using extern for function prototypes. Function prototypes don't need to be written with extern. extern is assumed by the compiler. Its use is as unnecessary as using auto to declare automatic/local variables in a block. 2012-08-30netfilter: add protocol independent NAT corePatrick McHardy
Convert the IPv4 NAT implementation to a protocol independent core and address family specific modules. Signed-off-by: Patrick McHardy <kaber@trash.net>
2011-12-23netfilter: nf_nat: export NAT definitions to userspacePatrick McHardy
Export the NAT definitions to userspace. So far userspace (specifically, iptables) has been copying the headers files from include/net. Also rename some structures and definitions in preparation for IPv6 NAT. Since these have never been officially exported, this doesn't affect existing userspace code. 2011-01-18netfilter: nf_nat: fix conversion to non-atomic bit opsChangli Gao
My previous patch (netfilter: nf_nat: don't use atomic bit operation) made a mistake when converting atomic_set to a normal bit 'or'. IPS_*_BIT should be replaced with IPS_*. 2010-11-15netfilter: nf_nat: don't use atomic bit operationChangli Gao
As we own the conntrack and the others can't see it until we confirm it, we don't need to use atomic bit operation on ct->status. Signed-off-by: Changli Gao <xiaosuo@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Patrick McHardy <kaber@trash.net>

2008-10-14netfilter: ctnetlink: remove bogus module dependency between ctnetlink and ↵Pablo Neira Ayuso
nf_nat This patch removes the module dependency between ctnetlink and nf_nat by means of an indirect call that is initialized when nf_nat is loaded. Now, nf_conntrack_netlink only requires nf_conntrack and nfnetlink. This patch puts nfnetlink_parse_nat_setup_hook into the nf_conntrack_core to avoid dependencies between ctnetlink, nf_conntrack_ipv4 and nf_conntrack_ipv6. This patch also introduces the function ctnetlink_change_nat that is only invoked from the creation path. Actually, the nat handling cannot be invoked from the update path since this is not allowed. By introducing this function, we remove the useless nat handling in the update path and we avoid deadlock-prone code. This patch also adds the required EAGAIN logic for nfnetlink. 2007-10-15[NETFILTER]: Replace sk_buff ** with sk_buff *Herbert Xu
With all the users of the double pointers removed, this patch mops up by finally replacing all occurances of sk_buff ** in the netfilter API by sk_buff *. Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
