2017-07-26Convert CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_MMC/NAND/UBI and NOWHERE to KconfigSimon Glass
This converts the following to Kconfig: CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_MMC CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_NAND CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_UBI CONFIG_ENV_IS_NOWHERE In fact this already exists for sunxi as a 'choice' config. However not all the choices are available in Kconfig yet so we cannot use that. It would lead to more than one option being set. In addition, one purpose of this series is to allow the environment to be stored in more than one place. So the existing choice is converted to a normal config allowing each option to be set independently. There are not many opportunities for Kconfig updates to reduce the size of this patch. This was tested with ./tools/moveconfig.py -i CONFIG_ENV_IS_IN_MMC And then manual updates. This is because for CHAIN_OF_TRUST boards they can only have ENV_IS_NOWHERE set, so we enforce that via Kconfig logic now. 2016-05-17ARM: mx6: Enable MMC and SATA extfs boot supportMarek Vasut
Enable support for booting U-Boot image from ext filesystem when either SD/MMC or SATA support is compiled into the SPL. This will allow easy transition from loading U-Boot image from ad-hoc offset on the card to loading U-Boot image from the filesystem. VFAT support is intently not enabled. The boot order is tweaked so that raw is tested first and if the raw has no signature, FS boot is attempted. To install just the SPL on i.MX6 board, perform the following operation $ dd if=SPL of=/dev/sdX seek=2 bs=512 To install the U-Boot image, copy u-boot.img to the first partition of the SD/MMC/SATA drive. The partition must be formated to extfs. 2016-03-14Kconfig: Move CONFIG_FIT and related options to KconfigSimon Glass
There are already two FIT options in Kconfig but the CONFIG options are still in the header files. We need to do a proper move to fix this. Move these options to Kconfig and tidy up board configuration: CONFIG_FIT CONFIG_OF_BOARD_SETUP CONFIG_OF_SYSTEM_SETUP CONFIG_FIT_SIGNATURE CONFIG_FIT_BEST_MATCH CONFIG_FIT_VERBOSE CONFIG_OF_STDOUT_VIA_ALIAS CONFIG_RSA Unfortunately the first one is a little complicated. We need to make sure this option is not enabled in SPL by this change. Also this option is enabled automatically in the host builds by defining CONFIG_FIT in the image.h file. To solve this, add a new IMAGE_USE_FIT #define which can be used in files that are built on the host but must also build for U-Boot and SPL. Note: Masahiro's moveconfig.py script is amazing. 2015-10-02I2C: mxc_i2c: make I2C1 and I2C2 optionalAlbert ARIBAUD \\(3ADEV\\)
The driver assumed that I2C1 and I2C2 were always enabled, and if they were not, then an asynchronous abort was (silently) raised, to be caught much later on in the Linux kernel. Fix this by making I2C1 and I2C2 optional just like I2C3 and I2C4 are. To make the change binary-invariant, declare I2C1 and I2C2 in every include/configs/ file which defines CONFIG_SYS_I2C_MXC. Also, while updating README about CONFIG_SYS_I2C_MXC_I2C1 and CONFIG_SYS_I2C_MXC_I2C2, add missing descriptions for I2C4 speed (CONFIG_SYS_MXC_I2C4_SPEED) and slave (CONFIG_SYS_MXC_I2C4_SLAVE) config options.
