Preparation for pselect and ppoll. ia32 compat code not tested. :-( Signed-off-by: Alexey Kuznetsov <kuznet@ms2.inr.ac.ru> Signed-off-by: Alexey Dobriyan <adobriyan@openvz.org> Signed-off-by: Tony Luck <tony.luck@intel.com>
2007-05-08[IA64] fix stack alignment for ia32 signal handlersMarkus F.X.J. Oberhumer
This fixes the setup of the alignment of the signal frame, so that all signal handlers are run with a properly aligned stack frame. The current code "over-aligns" the stack pointer so that the stack frame is effectively always mis-aligned by 4 bytes. But what we really want is that on function entry ((sp + 4) & 15) == 0, which matches what would happen if the stack were aligned before a "call" instruction. i386 and x86_64 are already fixed by d347f372273c2b3d86a66e2e1c94c790c208e166 Signed-off-by: Markus F.X.J. 2007-05-08header cleaning: don't include smp_lock.h when not usedRandy Dunlap
Remove includes of <linux/smp_lock.h> where it is not used/needed. Suggested by Al Viro. Builds cleanly on x86_64, i386, alpha, ia64, powerpc, sparc, sparc64, and arm (all 59 defconfigs). 2005-08-24[IA64] remove use of asm/segment.hKumar Gala
Removed IA64 architecture specific users of asm/segment.h The removal of asm-ia64/segment.h itself can wait until all of the kernel source has been purged of references. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <kumar.gala@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Tony Luck <tony.luck@intel.com>
2005-04-22[IA64] ia32_signal.c: erroneous use of memset/memcpyArun Sharma
Found by Alexander Nyberg, improved by Bjorn Helgaas. - Fix the incorrect argument to sizeof() - looks like memcpy() code pass was dervived from code that used copy_from_user(). But in this case we are doing to kernel space to kernel space copy, so memcpy is the right routine, but it doesn't return an error code. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
