2008-07-28powerpc: implement GPIO LIB API on CPM1 Freescale SoC.Jochen Friedrich
This patch implement GPIO LIB support for the CPM1 GPIOs. Signed-off-by: Jochen Friedrich <jochen@scram.de> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2008-07-14powerpc/CPM: Add i2c pins to dts and board setupJochen Friedrich
Initialize I2C pins on boards with CPM1/CPM2 controllers and document the i2c bus in booting-without-of. The boards don't have any I2C chips connected to the I2C bus, so unless some external chips are connected to the boards, this code is just an example of setting everything else up. Signed-off-by: Jochen Friedrich <jochen@scram.de> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2008-04-17[POWERPC] CPM: Always use new binding.Scott Wood
The kconfig entry can go away once arch/ppc and references to the config in drivers are removed. Signed-off-by: Scott Wood <scottwood@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2008-02-26[POWERPC] 8xx: Timebase frequency should not depend on bus-frequencyAnton Vorontsov
m8xx_setup.c says: /* Force all 8xx processors to use divide by 16 processor clock. */ And at the same time it is using bus-frequency for calculating timebase. It is okay for most setups because bus-frequency is equal to clock-frequency. The problem emerges when cpu frequency is > 66MHz, quoting u-boot/cpu/mpc8xx/speed.c: if (gd->cpu_clk <= 66000000) { sccr_reg |= SCCR_EBDF00; /* bus division factor = 1 */ gd->bus_clk = gd->cpu_clk; } else { sccr_reg |= SCCR_EBDF01; /* bus division factor = 2 */ gd->bus_clk = gd->cpu_clk / 2; } So in case of cpu clock > 66MHz, bus_clk = cpu_clk / 2. An then, from Linux, we calculate timebase frequency as tb_freq = bus_clk / 16, that is cpu_clk / 2 / 16, which is wrong. This fixes the system time drifting problem on the EP885C board running at 133MHz. Signed-off-by: Anton Vorontsov <avorontsov@ru.mvista.com> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>

2008-01-28[POWERPC] CPM: Rename commproc to cpm1 and cpm2_common.c to cpm2.cJochen Friedrich
Rename commproc.[ch] to cpm1.[ch] to be more consistent with cpm2. Also rename cpm2_common.c to cpm2.c as suggested by Scott Wood. Adjust the includes accordingly. Signed-off-by: Jochen Friedrich <jochen@scram.de> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2008-01-28[POWERPC] 8xx: Get rid of conditional includes of board specific setupJochen Friedrich
Directly include mpc885ads.h from mpc885ads_setup.c. Now we can get rid of the arch dependent includes in mpc8xx.h. Signed-off-by: Jochen Friedrich <jochen@scram.de> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2008-01-28[POWERPC] 8xx: Remove sysdev/commproc.hJochen Friedrich
Move cpm1 specific prototypes to asm/commproc.h and mpc8xx specific prototypes to asm/mpc8xx.h. Adjust includes accordingly. Remove now unneeded sysdev/commproc.h. Signed-off-by: Jochen Friedrich <jochen@scram.de> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2008-01-28[POWERPC] 8xx: Remove unneeded and misspelled prototype m8xx_calibrate_decrJochen Friedrich
m8xx_calibrate_decr seems to be a misspelled prototype for mpc8xx_calibrate_decr. As it's not needed anyways, just remove it. Signed-off-by: Jochen Friedrich <jochen@scram.de> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2008-01-28[POWERPC] 8xx: Rename m8xx_pic_init to mpc8xx_pics_initJochen Friedrich
m8xx_pic_init calls both mpc8xx_pic_init and cpm_pic_init. Renaming the function to use the same name space as the rest of the mpc8xx specific funtions and to be more meaningful. m8xx_pic_init is declared in ppc8xx_pic.h but defined nowhere in the ppc tree. Remove it. Signed-off-by: Jochen Friedrich <jochen@scram.de> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>

2007-10-04[POWERPC] 8xx: Work around CPU15 erratum.Scott Wood
The CPU15 erratum on MPC8xx chips can cause incorrect code execution under certain circumstances, where there is a conditional or indirect branch in the last word of a page, with a target in the last cache line of the next page. This patch implements one of the suggested workarounds, by forcing a TLB miss whenever execution crosses a page boundary. This is done by invalidating the pages before and after the one being loaded into the TLB in the ITLB miss handler. 2007-10-04[POWERPC] 8xx: Infrastructure code cleanup.Scott Wood
1. Keep a global mpc8xx_immr mapping, rather than constantly creating temporary mappings. 2. Look for new fsl,cpm1 and fsl,cpm1-pic names. 3. Always reset the CPM when not using the udbg console; this is required in case the firmware initialized a device that is incompatible with one that the kernel is about to use. 4. Remove some superfluous casts and header includes. 5. Change a usage of IMAP_ADDR to get_immrbase(). 6. Use phys_addr_t, not uint, for dpram_pbase. 7. Various sparse-related fixes, such as __iomem annotations. 8. Remove mpc8xx_show_cpuinfo, which doesn't provide anything useful beyond the generic cpuinfo handler. 9. Move prototypes for 8xx support functions from board files to sysdev/commproc.h. Signed-off-by: Scott Wood <scottwood@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>

2007-08-23[POWERPC] Remove old includes from arch/ppcKumar Gala
Remove includes of files that existed in arch/ppc that we dont need in arch/powerpc anymore. The following includes were removed: <asm/amigappc.h> <asm/bootinfo.h> <asm/ppcboot.h> <asm/ppc_sys.h> <asm/residual.h> <asm/m8260_pci.h> This also caused platforms/embedded6xx/mpc7448_hpc2.h to no longer be needed and thus removed. 2007-07-17powerpc: 8xx: fix whitespace and indentationVitaly Bordug
Rolling forward PCMCIA driver, it was discovered that the indentation in existing one, as well as in BSP side are very odd. This patch is just result of Lindent run ontop of culprit files. 2007-07-10[POWERPC] 8xx: mpc885ads pcmcia supportVitaly Bordug
Adds support for PowerQuicc on-chip PCMCIA. The driver is implemented as of_device, so only arch/powerpc stuff is capable to use it, which now implies only mpc885ads reference board. To cope with the code that should be hooked inside driver, but is really board specific (like set_voltage), global structure mpc8xx_pcmcia_ops holds necessary function pointers that are filled in the BSP code. 2005-09-26powerpc: Merge enough to start building in arch/powerpc.Paul Mackerras
This creates the directory structure under arch/powerpc and a bunch of Kconfig files. It does a first-cut merge of arch/powerpc/mm, arch/powerpc/lib and arch/powerpc/platforms/powermac. This is enough to build a 32-bit powermac kernel with ARCH=powerpc. For now we are getting some unmerged files from arch/ppc/kernel and arch/ppc/syslib, or arch/ppc64/kernel. This makes some minor changes to files in those directories and files outside arch/powerpc. The boot directory is still not merged. That's going to be interesting.
