2008-12-30powerpc/qe: Select QE_USB with USB_GADGET_FSL_QEAnton Vorontsov
Boards should know when QE_USB is used, so that they can configure USB clocks and pins. Another option would be to add 'select QE_USB' into USB_GADGET_FSL_QE, but selects are evil since they don't support dependencies. While at it, also remove 'host' from the symbol description, since the QE_USB code is used to support the gadget driver as well. 2008-10-13powerpc/QE: move QE_GPIO Kconfig symbol into the platforms/KconfigAnton Vorontsov
Specifying user-selectable option in the qe_lib/Kconfig was a bad idea because the qe_lib/Kconfig is included into the top level Kconfig, and thus the QE_GPIO option appears at the top level menu. This patch effectively moves the QE_GPIO option under the platform menu instead. Signed-off-by: Anton Vorontsov <avorontsov@ru.mvista.com> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2008-07-25gpiolib: allow user-selectionMichael Buesch
This patch adds functionality to the gpio-lib subsystem to make it possible to enable the gpio-lib code even if the architecture code didn't request to get it built in. The archtitecture code does still need to implement the gpiolib accessor functions in its asm/gpio.h file. This patch adds the implementations for x86 and PPC. With these changes it is possible to run generic GPIO expansion cards on every architecture that implements the trivial wrapper functions. Support for more architectures can easily be added. 2008-06-10powerpc/QE: implement support for the GPIO LIB APIAnton Vorontsov
This is needed to access QE GPIOs via Linux GPIO API. Signed-off-by: Anton Vorontsov <avorontsov@ru.mvista.com> Acked-By: Timur Tabi <timur@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2008-06-10powerpc/QE: add support for QE USB clocks routingAnton Vorontsov
This patch adds a function to the qe_lib to setup QE USB clocks routing. To setup clocks safely, cmxgcr register needs locking, so I just reused ucc_lock since it was used only to protect cmxgcr. The idea behind placing clocks routing functions into the qe_lib is that later we'll hopefully switch to the generic Linux Clock API, thus, for example, FHCI driver may be used for QE and CPM chips without nasty #ifdefs. This patch also fixes QE_USB_RESTART_TX command definition in the qe.h. 2008-01-24[POWERPC] QE: Add support for Freescale QUICCEngine UARTTimur Tabi
Add support for UART serial ports using a Freescale QUICCEngine. Update booting-without-of.txt to define new properties for a QE UART node. Update the MPC8323E-MDS device tree to add UCC5 as a UART. Update the QE library to support slow UCC devices and modules. Signed-off-by: Timur Tabi <timur@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2007-05-23[POWERPC] QE: fix Kconfig 'select' warning with UCC_FASTTimur Tabi
The UCC_GETH Kconfig option in drivers/net/Kconfig had a line to select the UCC_FAST option is arch/powerpc/sysdev/qe_lib/Kconfig, which is only used on PowerPC builds. On other architectures, this would generated a warning. The fix is to have UCC_FAST depend on UCC_GETH. 2007-03-26[POWERPC] QE: automatically select QE optionsTimur Tabi
Change the Kconfig files so that the Freescale QE options are automatically selected if a QE device is selected. Previously, you'd need to manually select UCC_FAST if you want any "fast" UCC devices, such as Gigabit Ethernet. Now, the QE Gigabit Ethernet option is always available if the device has a QE, and UCC_FAST is automatically enabled. A side-effect is that the "QE Options" menu no longer exists. 2006-10-04[POWERPC] Add QUICC Engine (QE) infrastructureLi Yang
Add QUICC Engine (QE) configuration, header files, and QE management and library code that are used by QE devices drivers. Includes Leo's modifications up to, and including, the platform_device to of_device adaptation: "The series of patches add generic QE infrastructure called qe_lib, and MPC8360EMDS board support. Qe_lib is used by QE device drivers such as ucc_geth driver. This version updates QE interrupt controller to use new irq mapping mechanism, addresses all the comments received with last submission and includes some style fixes. v2: Change to use device tree for BCSR and MURAM; Remove I/O port interrupt handling code as it is not generic enough. v3: Address comments from Kumar; Update definition of several device tree nodes; Copyright style change." In addition, the following changes have been made: o removed typedefs o uint -> u32 conversions o removed following defines: QE_SIZEOF_BD, BD_BUFFER_ARG, BD_BUFFER_CLEAR, BD_BUFFER, BD_STATUS_AND_LENGTH_SET, BD_STATUS_AND_LENGTH, and BD_BUFFER_SET because they hid sizeof/in_be32/out_be32 operations from the reader. o fixed qe_snums_init() serial num assignment to use a const array o made CONFIG_UCC_FAST select UCC_SLOW o reduced NR_QE_IC_INTS from 128 to 64 o remove _IO_BASE, etc. defines (not used) o removed irrelevant comments, added others to resemble removed BD_ defines o realigned struct definitions in headers o various other style fixes including things like pinMask -> pin_mask o fixed a ton of whitespace issues o marked ioregs as __be32/__be16 o removed platform_device code and redundant get_qe_base() o removed redundant comments o added cpu_relax() to qe_reset o uncasted all get_property() assignments o eliminated unneeded casts o eliminated immrbar_phys_to_virt (not used) Signed-off-by: Li Yang <leoli@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Shlomi Gridish <gridish@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Kim Phillips <kim.phillips@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
