2005-09-11hpt366: write the full 4 bytes of ROM address, not just low 1 byteLinus Torvalds
This is one heck of a confused driver. It uses a byte write to a dword register to enable a ROM resource that it doesn't even seem to be using. "Lost and wandering in the desert of confusion" Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
2005-06-28[PATCH] ide: fix the HPT366 driver layerAlan Cox
The highpoint driver is unreadable, buggy and crashes on some chipsets. The -ac one is more readable (but not ideal) and doesn't crash all over the place. Been in Fedora for some time. Backported from the Fedora one to the old Bartlomiej IDE core. No other dependencies. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
