2008-08-22pcmcia: pcmcia_config_loop() ConfigIndex unificationDominik Brodowski
Almost all drivers set p_dev->conf.ConfigIndex to cfg->index in the pcmcia_config_loop() callback function. Therefore, factor it out. Signed-off-by: Dominik Brodowski <linux@dominikbrodowski.net>
2008-08-22pcmcia: add pcmcia_loop_config() helperDominik Brodowski
By calling pcmcia_loop_config(), a pcmcia driver can iterate over all available configuration options. During a driver's probe() phase, one doesn't need to use pcmcia_get_{first,next}_tuple, pcmcia_get_tuple_data and pcmcia_parse_tuple directly in most if not all cases. 2008-08-07[ARM] Remove asm/hardware.h, use asm/arch/hardware.h insteadRussell King
Remove includes of asm/hardware.h in addition to asm/arch/hardware.h. Then, since asm/hardware.h only exists to include asm/arch/hardware.h, update everything to directly include asm/arch/hardware.h and remove asm/hardware.h. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>

2008-08-02pcmcia: only copy CIS override data onceDominik Brodowski
Instead of copying CIS override data in socket_sysfs.c or ds.c, and then again in cistpl.c, only do so once. Also, cisdump_t is now only used by the deprecated ioctl. Signed-off-by: Dominik Brodowski <linux@dominikbrodowski.net>

2008-07-24PAGE_ALIGN(): correctly handle 64-bit values on 32-bit architecturesAndrea Righi
On 32-bit architectures PAGE_ALIGN() truncates 64-bit values to the 32-bit boundary. For example: u64 val = PAGE_ALIGN(size); always returns a value < 4GB even if size is greater than 4GB. The problem resides in PAGE_MASK definition (from include/asm-x86/page.h for example): #define PAGE_SHIFT 12 #define PAGE_SIZE (_AC(1,UL) << PAGE_SHIFT) #define PAGE_MASK (~(PAGE_SIZE-1)) ... #define PAGE_ALIGN(addr) (((addr)+PAGE_SIZE-1)&PAGE_MASK) The "~" is performed on a 32-bit value, so everything in "and" with PAGE_MASK greater than 4GB will be truncated to the 32-bit boundary. Using the ALIGN() macro seems to be the right way, because it uses typeof(addr) for the mask. Also move the PAGE_ALIGN() definitions out of include/asm-*/page.h in include/linux/mm.h. 2008-06-24pcmcia: check for pointer instead of pointer addressDominik Brodowski
Bug noted by Michael Buesch: checking for the pointer address is always true. When a dynamically allocated platform device is 'put', the platform device's platform_data is kfree'd. This is bad if it's pointing at static data.
