2009-09-22[S390] cio: introduce consistent subchannel scanningSebastian Ott
Previously, there were multiple subchannel scanning mechanisms which could potentially conflict with each other. Fix this problem by moving blacklist and ccw driver triggered scanning to the existing evaluation method. 2009-09-22[S390] cio: idset use actual number of ssidsSebastian Ott
The functions idset_sch_new and for_each_subchannel_staged use different values for the number of subchannel sets. Make it consistent by changing idset_sch_new to also use the actual number of subchannel sets. 2009-09-22[S390] cio: introduce css_eval_scheduledSebastian Ott
Use css_eval_scheduled to determine if all scheduled subchannel evaluation is finished. Wait for this value to be 0 in the channel subsystem init function. Signed-off-by: Sebastian Ott <sebott@linux.vnet.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Martin Schwidefsky <schwidefsky@de.ibm.com>
2008-08-01[S390] cio: Memory allocation for idset changed.Michael Ernst
Memory allocation for the quite huge idset changed from kzalloc to vmalloc. Signed-off-by: Michael Ernst <mernst@de.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Martin Schwidefsky <schwidefsky@de.ibm.com>
2007-10-19remove asm/bitops.h includesJiri Slaby
remove asm/bitops.h includes including asm/bitops directly may cause compile errors. don't include it and include linux/bitops instead. next patch will deny including asm header directly. 2007-04-27[S390] cio: replace subchannel evaluation queue with bitmapPeter Oberparleiter
Use a bitmap for indicating which subchannels require evaluation instead of allocating memory for each evaluation request. This approach reduces memory consumption during recovery in case of massive evaluation request occurrence and removes the need for memory allocation failure handling.
