2007-02-12[PATCH] mark struct file_operations const 6Arjan van de Ven
Many struct file_operations in the kernel can be "const". Marking them const moves these to the .rodata section, which avoids false sharing with potential dirty data. In addition it'll catch accidental writes at compile time to these shared resources. 2006-12-08[PATCH] mbxfb: Add YUV video overlay supportRaphael Assenat
This patch adds a way to create and use the video plane (YUV overlay) and scaling video scaling features of the chip. The overlay is configured, resized and modified using a device specific ioctl. Also included in this patch: - If no platform data was passed, print an error and exit instead of crashing. - Added a write_reg(_dly) macro. This improves readability when manipulating chip registers. (no more udelay() after each write). - Comments about some issues. Signed-off-by: Raphael Assenat <raph@8d.com> Cc: "Antonino A. 2006-12-08[PATCH] mbxfb: add more registers to debugfsRaphael Assenat
This patch fixes debugfs for mbxfb and adds some missing registers. The way registers were read was out of sync with the rest of the driver (direct access instead of using readl()) sdram controller registers are now accessible in the sdram/ subdirectory and some other registers are grouped in the misc/ subdirectory. 2006-12-08[PATCH] mbxfb: Add more registers bits access macrosRaphael Assenat
This patch adds register bits access macros for chip's Video Plane, Scaling and interrupt registers. Signed-off-by: Raphael Assenat <raph@8d.com> Cc: "Antonino A. 2006-12-08[PATCH] mbxfb: Fix HSCOEFF3 register addressRaphael Assenat
This patch corrects the address for register HSCOEFF3. Signed-off-by: Raphael Assenat <raph@8d.com> Cc: "Antonino A. Daplas" <adaplas@pol.net> Acked-by: James Simmons <jsimmons@infradead.org> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
2006-10-03[PATCH] mbxfb: Fix framebuffer size smaller than requestedRaphael Assenat
This patch fixes a bug where we obtain a smaller resolution than requested. (eg: in 640x480, only 639x479 usable pixels). This was due to 1 being substracted from the xres and yres vars two times: first in mbxfb.c and then in the macros from reg_bits.h. This patch removes the minus ones from the mbxfb.c file. Tested and works. 2006-10-03[PATCH] mbxfb: Fix a chip bug? resulting in wrong pixclockRaphael Assenat
This is a workaround for what I think is a bug in the 2700G chip. The PLL output frequency is adustable using 3 values (M, N and P. See code for formula). The N value range is documented to be 1 to 7 but when it is set to 1, the output frequency is lower than it should be (divided by 2), giving unexpected results such as no sync on a CRT display. This patch prevents N=1 when searching for the best value for the requested pixclock. 2006-07-15[PATCH] mbxfb: Add framebuffer driver for the Intel 2700GMike Rapoport
Add frame buffer driver for the 2700G LCD controller present on CompuLab CM-X270 computer module. [adaplas] - Add more informative help text to Kconfig - Make DEBUG a Kconfig option as FB_MBX_DEBUG - Remove #include mbxdebug.c, this is frowned upon - Remove redundant casts - Arrange #include's alphabetically - Trivial whitespace Signed-off-by: Mike Rapoport <mike@compulab.co.il> Signed-off-by: Antonino Daplas <adaplas@pol.net> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
