2012-09-27Bluetooth: Use %pMR in sprintf/seq_printf instead of batostrAndrei Emeltchenko
Instead of old unsafe batostr function use %pMR print specifier for printing Bluetooth addresses in sprintf and seq_printf statements. 2011-11-21Bluetooth: cmtp: Fix module referenceDavid Herrmann
We cannot call module_put(THIS_MODULE) if this is our last reference. Otherwise, this call may cleanup our module before it returns. Gladly, the kthread API provides a simple wrapper for us. So lets use module_put_and_exit() to avoid a race condition with the module cleanup code. 2011-11-07Bluetooth: replace list_for_each with list_for_each_entry whenever possibleLuiz Augusto von Dentz
When all items in the list have the same type there is no much of a point to use list_for_each except if you want to use the list pointer itself. Signed-off-by: Luiz Augusto von Dentz <luiz.von.dentz@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Gustavo F. Padovan <padovan@profusion.mobi>
2011-09-27Bluetooth: Linearize skbs for use in BNEP, CMTP, HIDP, and RFCOMMMat Martineau
Fragmented skbs are only encountered when receiving ERTM or streaming mode L2CAP data. BNEP, CMTP, HIDP, and RFCOMM generally use basic mode, but they need to handle fragments without crashing. 2011-08-11Bluetooth: cmtp: Fix session cleanup on failed conn addPeter Hurley
Once the session thread is running, cleanup must be handled by the session thread only. Signed-off-by: Peter Hurley <peter@hurleysoftware.com> Signed-off-by: Gustavo F. Padovan <padovan@profusion.mobi>
2011-08-11Bluetooth: cmtp: Fix deadlock in session deletionPeter Hurley
Commit fada4ac339 introduced the usage of kthread API. kthread_stop is a blocking function which returns only when the thread exits. In this case, the thread can't exit because it's waiting for the write lock, which is being held by cmtp_del_connection() which is waiting for the thread to exit -- deadlock. Revert cmtp_reset_ctr to its original behavior: non-blocking signalling for the session to terminate. Signed-off-by: Peter Hurley <peter@hurleysoftware.com> Signed-off-by: Gustavo F. 2011-04-05Bluetooth: Use kthread API in cmtpSzymon Janc

2011-02-15Bluetooth: remove l2cap_load() hackGustavo F. Padovan
l2cap_load() was added to trigger l2cap.ko module loading from the RFCOMM and BNEP modules. Now that L2CAP module is gone, we don't need it anymore. Signed-off-by: Gustavo F. Padovan <padovan@profusion.mobi>

2010-10-12Bluetooth: make batostr() print in the right orderGustavo F. Padovan
The Bluetooth core uses the the BD_ADDR in the opposite order from the human readable order. So we are changing batostr() to print in the correct order and then removing some baswap(), as they are not needed anymore. Acked-by: Marcel Holtmann <marcel@holtmann.org> Signed-off-by: Gustavo F. 2010-04-20net: sk_sleep() helperEric Dumazet
Define a new function to return the waitqueue of a "struct sock". static inline wait_queue_head_t *sk_sleep(struct sock *sk) { return sk->sk_sleep; } Change all read occurrences of sk_sleep by a call to this function. 2008-11-30Bluetooth: Enable per-module dynamic debug messagesMarcel Holtmann
With the introduction of CONFIG_DYNAMIC_PRINTK_DEBUG it is possible to allow debugging without having to recompile the kernel. This patch turns all BT_DBG() calls into pr_debug() to support dynamic debug messages. As a side effect all CONFIG_BT_*_DEBUG statements are now removed and some broken debug entries have been fixed. 2007-07-17Freezer: make kernel threads nonfreezable by defaultRafael J. Wysocki
Currently, the freezer treats all tasks as freezable, except for the kernel threads that explicitly set the PF_NOFREEZE flag for themselves. This approach is problematic, since it requires every kernel thread to either set PF_NOFREEZE explicitly, or call try_to_freeze(), even if it doesn't care for the freezing of tasks at all. It seems better to only require the kernel threads that want to or need to be frozen to use some freezer-related code and to remove any freezer-related code from the other (nonfreezable) kernel threads, which is done in this patch. The patch causes all kernel threads to be nonfreezable by default (ie. to have PF_NOFREEZE set by default) and introduces the set_freezable() function that should be called by the freezable kernel threads in order to unset PF_NOFREEZE. It also makes all of the currently freezable kernel threads call set_freezable(), so it shouldn't cause any (intentional) change of behaviour to appear. Additionally, it updates documentation to describe the freezing of tasks more accurately. [akpm@linux-foundation.org: build fixes] Signed-off-by: Rafael J. 2005-07-08[NET]: Transform skb_queue_len() binary tests into skb_queue_empty()David S. Miller
This is part of the grand scheme to eliminate the qlen member of skb_queue_head, and subsequently remove the 'list' member of sk_buff. Most users of skb_queue_len() want to know if the queue is empty or not, and that's trivially done with skb_queue_empty() which doesn't use the skb_queue_head->qlen member and instead uses the queue list emptyness as the test. 2005-04-26[PATCH] kill gratitious includes of major.h under net/*Al Viro
A lot of places in there are including major.h for no reason whatsoever. Removed. And yes, it still builds. The history of that stuff is often amusing. E.g. for net/core/sock.c the story looks so, as far as I've been able to reconstruct it: we used to need major.h in net/socket.c circa 1.1.early. In 1.1.13 that need had disappeared, along with register_chrdev(SOCKET_MAJOR, "socket", &net_fops) in sock_init(). Include had not. When 1.2 -> 1.3 reorg of net/* had moved a lot of stuff from net/socket.c to net/core/sock.c, this crap had followed... Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
