2009-06-08net: Fix memcpy_toiovecend() to use the right offsetSridhar Samudrala
Increment the iovec base by the offset passed in for the initial copy_to_user() in memcpy_to_iovecend(). Signed-off-by: Sridhar Samudrala <sri@us.ibm.com> Acked-by: Michael S. Tsirkin <mst@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2009-04-21tun: fix tun_chr_aio_write so that aio worksMichael S. Tsirkin
aio_write gets const struct iovec * but tun_chr_aio_write casts this to struct iovec * and modifies the iovec. As a result, attempts to use io_submit to send packets to a tun device fail with weird errors such as EINVAL. Since tun is the only user of skb_copy_datagram_from_iovec, we can fix this simply by changing the later so that it does not touch the iovec passed to it. Signed-off-by: Michael S. 2009-04-21net: skb_copy_datagram_const_iovec()Michael S. Tsirkin
There's an skb_copy_datagram_iovec() to copy out of a paged skb, but it modifies the iovec, and does not support starting at an offset in the destination. We want both in tun.c, so let's add the function. It's a carbon copy of skb_copy_datagram_iovec() with enough changes to be annoying. Signed-off-by: Michael S. Use sockaddr_storage{} for generic socket address storage and ensures proper alignment. Use sockaddr{} for pointers to omit several casts. Signed-off-by: YOSHIFUJI Hideaki <yoshfuji@linux-ipv6.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2007-02-14[PATCH] remove many unneeded #includes of sched.hTim Schmielau
After Al Viro (finally) succeeded in removing the sched.h #include in module.h recently, it makes sense again to remove other superfluous sched.h includes. There are quite a lot of files which include it but don't actually need anything defined in there. Presumably these includes were once needed for macros that used to live in sched.h, but moved to other header files in the course of cleaning it up. To ease the pain, this time I did not fiddle with any header files and only removed #includes from .c-files, which tend to cause less trouble. Compile tested against 2.6.20-rc2 and 2.6.20-rc2-mm2 (with offsets) on alpha, arm, i386, ia64, mips, powerpc, and x86_64 with allnoconfig, defconfig, allmodconfig, and allyesconfig as well as a few randconfigs on x86_64 and all configs in arch/arm/configs on arm. I also checked that no new warnings were introduced by the patch (actually, some warnings are removed that were emitted by unnecessarily included header files). 2005-05-01[PATCH] misc verify_area cleanupsJesper Juhl
There were still a few comments left refering to verify_area, and two functions, verify_area_skas & verify_area_tt that just wrap corresponding access_ok_skas & access_ok_tt functions, just like verify_area does for access_ok - deprecate those. There was also a few places that still used verify_area in commented-out code, fix those up to use access_ok. After applying this one there should not be anything left but finally removing verify_area completely, which will happen after a kernel release or two. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
