2011-09-16wireless: Reset beacon_found while updating regulatoryRajkumar Manoharan
During the association, the regulatory is updated by country IE that reaps the previously found beacons. The impact is that after a STA disconnects *or* when for any reason a regulatory domain change happens the beacon hint flag is not cleared therefore preventing future beacon hints to be learned. This is important as a regulatory domain change or a restore of regulatory settings would set back the passive scan and no-ibss flags on the channel. This is the right place to do this given that it covers any regulatory domain change. Cc: stable@kernel.org Reviewed-by: Luis R. 2011-09-13mac80211: fix missing sta_lock in __sta_info_destroyJohannes Berg
Since my commit 34e895075e21be3e21e71d6317440d1ee7969ad0 ("mac80211: allow station add/remove to sleep") there is a race in mac80211 when it clears the TIM bit because a sleeping station disconnected, the spinlock isn't held around the relevant code any more. 2011-08-11Bluetooth: cmtp: Fix deadlock in session deletionPeter Hurley
Commit fada4ac339 introduced the usage of kthread API. kthread_stop is a blocking function which returns only when the thread exits. In this case, the thread can't exit because it's waiting for the write lock, which is being held by cmtp_del_connection() which is waiting for the thread to exit -- deadlock. Revert cmtp_reset_ctr to its original behavior: non-blocking signalling for the session to terminate. Signed-off-by: Peter Hurley <peter@hurleysoftware.com> Signed-off-by: Gustavo F. Removed superfluous event handling which was used to signal that the rfcomm kthread had been woken. This appears to have been used to prevent lost wakeups. Correctly ordering when the task state is set to TASK_INTERRUPTIBLE is sufficient to prevent lost wakeups. To prevent wakeups which occurred prior to initially setting TASK_INTERRUPTIBLE from being lost, the main work of the thread loop - rfcomm_process_sessions() - is performed prior to sleeping. 2011-07-28net: Audit drivers to identify those needing IFF_TX_SKB_SHARING clearedNeil Horman
After the last patch, We are left in a state in which only drivers calling ether_setup have IFF_TX_SKB_SHARING set (we assume that drivers touching real hardware call ether_setup for their net_devices and don't hold any state in their skbs. There are a handful of drivers that violate this assumption of course, and need to be fixed up. This patch identifies those drivers, and marks them as not being able to support the safe transmission of skbs by clearning the IFF_TX_SKB_SHARING flag in priv_flags Signed-off-by: Neil Horman <nhorman@tuxdriver.com> CC: Karsten Keil <isdn@linux-pingi.de> CC: "David S. 2011-07-28net: add IFF_SKB_TX_SHARED flag to priv_flagsNeil Horman
Pktgen attempts to transmit shared skbs to net devices, which can't be used by some drivers as they keep state information in skbs. This patch adds a flag marking drivers as being able to handle shared skbs in their tx path. Drivers are defaulted to being unable to do so, but calling ether_setup enables this flag, as 90% of the drivers calling ether_setup touch real hardware and can handle shared skbs. A subsequent patch will audit drivers to ensure that the flag is set properly Signed-off-by: Neil Horman <nhorman@tuxdriver.com> Reported-by: Jiri Pirko <jpirko@redhat.com> CC: Robert Olsson <robert.olsson@its.uu.se> CC: Eric Dumazet <eric.dumazet@gmail.com> CC: Alexey Dobriyan <adobriyan@gmail.com> CC: David S. 2011-07-26notifiers: cpu: move cpu notifiers into cpu.hAmerigo Wang
We presently define all kinds of notifiers in notifier.h. This is not necessary at all, since different subsystems use different notifiers, they are almost non-related with each other. This can also save much build time. Suppose I add a new netdevice event, really I don't have to recompile all the source, just network related. Without this patch, all the source will be recompiled. I move the notify events near to their subsystem notifier registers, so that they can be found more easily. This patch: It is not necessary to share the same notifier.h. 2011-07-25IPv4: Send gratuitous ARP for secondary IP addresses alsoZoltan Kiss
If a device event generates gratuitous ARP messages, only primary address is used for sending. This patch iterates through the whole list. Tested with 2 IP addresses configuration on bonding interface. Signed-off-by: Zoltan Kiss <schaman@sch.bme.hu> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2011-07-25ipv6: Do not leave router anycast address for /127 prefixes.YOSHIFUJI Hideaki
Original commit 2bda8a0c8af... "Disable router anycast address for /127 prefixes" says: | No need for matching code in addrconf_leave_anycast() as it | will silently ignore any attempt to leave an unknown anycast | address. After analysis, because 1) we may add two or more prefixes on the same interface, or 2)user may have manually joined that anycast, we may hit chances to have anycast address which as if we had generated one by /127 prefix and we should not leave from subnet- router anycast address unconditionally.
