2014-12-11audio: sai: Add Power Management supportAlison Wang
This patch adds Power Management support for SAI. Activate regmap cache with REGCACHE_RBTREE, and use regmap cache code to save and restore registers in suspend and resume. The Transmit Control Register (TCSR) and Receive Control Register(RCSR) should be volatile registers. 2014-12-11ls102xa: audio: Workaround for SAI data transfer endian issueAlison Wang
Transmit Data Register(TDR) used as the destination address of EDMA transaction is in big-endian mode. The audio data in memory and EDMA transaction are in little-endian mode. For S16_LE format data, a workaround is to swap the original 16-bit data, and then write into the higher 16 bit of TDR. This patch updates the Ids and names to make them unique from each other. It should be noted that the I2C addresses for both PMIC and CODEC are modifiable so instantiation of the two are kept as separate devices, rather than instantiating the CODEC from the MFD code. commit 241bf43321a10815225f477bba96a42285a2da73 upstream. In tegra*_i2s_set_fmt(), in the (fmt == SND_SOC_DAIFMT_CBM_CFM) case, "val" is never assigned to, but left uninitialized. The other case does initialized it. Fix this by initializing val at the start of the function, and only ever ORing into it. Update the handling of "mask" so it works the same way for consistency. 2013-12-04ASoC: fsl: imx-pcm-fiq: omit fiq counter to avoid harm in unbalanced situationsOskar Schirmer
commit fc7dc61d9a87011aaf8a6eb3144ebf9552adf5d2 upstream. Unbalanced calls to snd_imx_pcm_trigger() may result in endless FIQ activity and thus provoke eternal sound. While on the first glance, the switch statement looks pretty symmetric, the SUSPEND/RESUME pair is not: the suspend case comes along snd_pcm_suspend_all(), which for fsl/imx-pcm-fiq is called only at snd_soc_suspend(), but the resume case originates straight from the SNDRV_PCM_IOCTL_RESUME. This way userland may provoke an unbalanced resume, which might cause the fiq_enable counter to increase and never return to zero again, so eventually imx_pcm_fiq is never disabled. Simply removing the fiq_enable will solve the problem, as long as one never goes play and capture game simultaneously, but beware trying both at once, the early TRIGGER_STOP will cut off the other activity prematurely. So now playing and capturing is scrutinized separately, instead of by counting.
