git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tmlind/linux-omap into next/drivers Merge "omap ir-rx51 driver fixes for multiarch for v4.8 merge window" from Tony Lindgren: Fix a long time regression for ir-rx51 driver for n900 device tree booting. This driver has been unusable with multiarch because of the hardware timer access. With the recent PWM changes, we can finally fix the driver for multiarch and device tree support. And naturally there is no rush for these for the -rc cycle, these can wait for the merge window. The PWM changes have been acked by Thierry. For the media changes I did not get an ack from Mauro but he was Cc'd in the discussion and these changes do not conflict with other media changes. After this series we can drop the remaining omap3 legacy booting board files finally. * tag 'omap-for-v4.8/ir-rx51-signed' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/tmlind/linux-omap: ir-rx51: use hrtimer instead of dmtimer ir-rx51: add DT support to driver ir-rx51: use PWM framework instead of OMAP dmtimer pwm: omap-dmtimer: Allow for setting dmtimer clock source ir-rx51: Fix build after multiarch changes broke it

2016-04-13[media] soc_camera: rcar_vin: add device tree support for r8a7792Simon Horman
Simply document new compatibility string. As a previous patch adds a generic R-Car Gen2 compatibility string there appears to be no need for a driver updates. By documenting this compat string it may be used in DTSs shipped, for example as part of ROMs. It must be used in conjunction with the Gen2 fallback compat string. At this time there are no known differences between the r8a7792 IP block and that implemented by the driver for the Gen2 fallback compat string. Thus there is no need to update the driver as the use of the Gen2 fallback compat string will activate the correct code in the current driver while leaving the option for r8a7792-specific driver code to be activated in an updated driver should the need arise. 2016-04-13[media] soc_camera: rcar_vin: add R-Car Gen 2 and 3 fallback compatibility ↵Yoshihiro Kaneko
strings Add fallback compatibility string for R-Car Gen 1 and 2. In the case of Renesas R-Car hardware we know that there are generations of SoCs, e.g. Gen 2 and 3. But beyond that it's unclear what the relationship between IP blocks might be. For example, I believe that r8a7790 is older than r8a7791 but that doesn't imply that the latter is a descendant of the former or vice versa. We can, however, by examining the documentation and behaviour of the hardware at run-time observe that the current driver implementation appears to be compatible with the IP blocks on SoCs within a given generation. For the above reasons and convenience when enabling new SoCs a per-generation fallback compatibility string scheme being adopted for drivers for Renesas SoCs. 2016-03-03[media] Revert "[media] tvp5150: document input connectors DT bindings"Javier Martinez Canillas
This reverts commit 82c2ffeb217a ("[media] tvp5150: document input connectors DT bindings") since the DT binding is too device driver specific and should instead be more generic and use the bindings in Documentation/devicetree/bindings/display/connector/ and linked to the tvp5150 using the OF graph port and endpoints. There are still ongoing discussions about how the input connectors will be supported by the Media Controller framework so until that is settled, it is better to revert the connectors portion of the bindings to avoid known to be broken bindings docs to hit mainline. 2015-12-13drm/exynos: gsc: add device tree support and remove usage of static mappingsSeung-Woo Kim
This patch adds device tree support for exynos_drm_gsc. This patch also fixed build issue on non-Exynos platforms, thus dependency on !ARCH_MULTIPLATFORM can be now removed. The driver cannot be used simultaneously with V4L2 Mem2Mem GScaller driver thought. reset-gpios is more clear than rst-gpio. This change has been done as one atomic commit but it does breaks compatability with older dtbs. Signed-off-by: Peter Griffin <peter.griffin@linaro.org> Acked-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@osg.samsung.com>
2015-10-01[media] s5p-jpeg: add support for 5433Andrzej Pietrasiewicz
JPEG IP found in Exynos5433 is similar to what is in Exynos4, but there are some subtle differences which this patch takes into account. The most important difference is in what is processed by the JPEG IP and what has to be provided to it. In case of 5433 the IP does not parse Huffman and quantisation tables, so this has to be performed with the CPU and the majority of the code in this patch does that. A small but important difference is in what address is passed to the JPEG IP. In case of 5433 it is the SOS (start of scan) position, which is natural, because the headers must be parsed elsewhere. There is also a difference in how the hardware is put to work in device_run. Data structures are extended as appropriate to accommodate the above changes. 2015-07-22[media] tc358743: support probe from device treePhilipp Zabel
Add support for probing the TC358743 subdevice from device tree. The reference clock must be supplied using the common clock bindings. MIPI CSI-2 specific properties are parsed from the OF graph endpoint node and support for a non-continuous MIPI CSI-2 clock is added.
