2017-12-12usb: dwc3: workaround: disable device-initiated U1/U2Ran Wang
Issue: When the USB controller is configured as a USB device mode, the device initiates low power when an ACK is pending for a data packet (DP). When operating in SuperSpeed mode and when the internal condition for low power (u1/u2) is satisfied, the device initiates u1/u2 even though it has just received a DPH of the DP header (DPH). This causes the link to enter and exit low power before the device sends an ACK for the DP. This behavior can cause a transaction timeout on the host for the DP. Impact: Depending on the host transaction timeout value, the host may timeout on the transaction and the host retries the transfer. If the same issue happens again, this could result in the host resetting the device and re-enumerating. Workaround: Disable USB_DCTL (InitU1Ena, InitU2Ena) bits. As a result, the device does not initiate lowpower requests; however, it can still accept low-power requests from the host/hub and enter low power. Signed-off-by: Ran Wang <ran.wang_1@nxp.com>

2017-09-25iommu/arm-smmu: Add global SMR masking propertyRobin Murphy
The current SMR masking support using a 2-cell iommu-specifier is primarily intended to handle individual masters with large and/or complex Stream ID assignments; it quickly gets a bit clunky in other SMR use-cases where we just want to consistently mask out the same part of every Stream ID (e.g. for MMU-500 configurations where the appended TBU number gets in the way unnecessarily). Let's add a new property to allow a single global mask value to better fit the latter situation. 2017-09-25irqchip/ls-scfg-msi: add LS1043a v1.1 MSI supportMinghuan Lian
A MSI controller of LS1043a v1.0 only includes one MSIR and is assigned one GIC interrupt. In order to support affinity, LS1043a v1.1 MSI is assigned 4 MSIRs and 4 GIC interrupts. But the MSIR has the different offset and only supports 8 MSIs. The bits between variable bit_start and bit_end in structure ls_scfg_msir are used to show 8 MSI interrupts. msir_irqs and msir_base are added to describe the difference of MSI between LS1043a v1.1 and other SoCs. 2017-07-05Documentation: devicetree: change the mediatek ethernet compatible stringJohn Crispin
[ Upstream commit 61976fff20f92aceecc3670f6168bfc57a79e047 ] When the binding was defined, I was not aware that mt2701 was an earlier version of the SoC. For sake of consistency, the ethernet driver should use mt2701 inside the compat string as this is the earliest SoC with the ethernet core. The ethernet driver is currently of no real use until we finish and upstream the DSA driver. There are no users of this binding yet. It should be safe to fix this now before it is too late and we need to provide backward compatibility for the mt7623-eth compat string. 2017-07-05dt: bindings: net: use boolean dt properties for eee broken modesjbrunet
[ Upstream commit 308d3165d8b2b98d3dc3d97d6662062735daea67 ] The patches regarding eee-broken-modes was merged before all people involved could find an agreement on the best way to move forward. While we agreed on having a DT property to mark particular modes as broken, the value used for eee-broken-modes mapped the phy register in very direct way. Because of this, the concern is that it could be used to implement configuration policies instead of describing a broken HW. In the end, having a boolean property for each mode seems to be preferred over one bit field value mapping the register (too) directly.
