2016-08-12ARM: 8594/1: enable binfmt_flat on systems with an MMUNicolas Pitre
Now that the generic changes are in place, this can be enabled on ARM with the use of proper user space accessors in the flat_get_addr_from_rp() and flat_put_addr_at_rp() handlers as rp actually holds a user space address. 2012-10-09ARM: binfmt_flat: unused variable 'persistent'Arnd Bergmann
The flat_get_addr_from_rp() macro does not use the 'persistent' argument on ARM, causing a harmless compiler warning. A cast to void removes that warning. Without this patch, building at91x40_defconfig results in: fs/binfmt_flat.c: In function 'load_flat_file': fs/binfmt_flat.c:746:17: warning: unused variable 'persistent' [-Wunused-variable] Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> Acked-by: Greg Ungerer <gerg@uclinux.org> Cc: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk> Cc: Bryan Wu <bryan.wu@canonical.com>
2009-05-29flat: fix data sections alignmentOskar Schirmer
The flat loader uses an architecture's flat_stack_align() to align the stack but assumes word-alignment is enough for the data sections. However, on the Xtensa S6000 we have registers up to 128bit width which can be used from userspace and therefor need userspace stack and data-section alignment of at least this size. This patch drops flat_stack_align() and uses the same alignment that is required for slab caches, ARCH_SLAB_MINALIGN, or wordsize if it's not defined by the architecture. It also fixes m32r which was obviously kaput, aligning an uninitialized stack entry instead of the stack pointer. 2008-08-02[ARM] move include/asm-arm to arch/arm/include/asmRussell King
Move platform independent header files to arch/arm/include/asm, leaving those in asm/arch* and asm/plat* alone. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
