2015-10-21arm64/HWCAP: Use system wide safe valuesSuzuki K. Poulose
Extend struct arm64_cpu_capabilities to handle the HWCAP detection and make use of the system wide value of the feature registers for a reliable set of HWCAPs. Signed-off-by: Suzuki K. Poulose <suzuki.poulose@arm.com> Tested-by: Dave Martin <Dave.Martin@arm.com> Signed-off-by: Catalin Marinas <catalin.marinas@arm.com>
2014-11-17arm64: Add COMPAT_HWCAP_LPAECatalin Marinas
Commit a469abd0f868 (ARM: elf: add new hwcap for identifying atomic ldrd/strd instructions) introduces HWCAP_ELF for 32-bit ARM applications. As LPAE is always present on arm64, report the corresponding compat HWCAP to user space. 2014-03-04arm64: advertise ARMv8 extensions to 32-bit compat ELF binariesArd Biesheuvel
This adds support for advertising the presence of ARMv8 Crypto Extensions in the Aarch32 execution state to 32-bit ELF binaries running in 32-bit compat mode under the arm64 kernel. Signed-off-by: Ard Biesheuvel <ard.biesheuvel@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Catalin Marinas <catalin.marinas@arm.com>
2014-03-04arm64: add AT_HWCAP2 support for 32-bit compatArd Biesheuvel
Add support for the ELF auxv entry AT_HWCAP2 when running 32-bit ELF binaries in compat mode. Signed-off-by: Ard Biesheuvel <ard.biesheuvel@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Catalin Marinas <catalin.marinas@arm.com>
2013-09-26ARM64: arch_timer: add support to configure and enable event streamSudeep KarkadaNagesha
This patch adds support for configuring the event stream frequency and enabling it. It also adds the hwcaps as well as compat-specific definitions to the user to detect this event stream feature. 2013-09-20arm64: Widen hwcap to be 64 bitSteve Capper
Under arm64 elf_hwcap is a 32 bit quantity, but it is stored in a 64 bit auxiliary ELF field and glibc reads hwcap as 64 bit. This patch widens elf_hwcap to be 64 bit. Signed-off-by: Steve Capper <steve.capper@arm.com> Signed-off-by: Catalin Marinas <catalin.marinas@arm.com>

2012-10-11arm64: Do not export the compat-specific definitions to the userCatalin Marinas
This patch adds #ifdef __KERNEL__ guards around the COMPAT_* definitions to avoid exporting them to user. AArch32 user requiring the kernel headers must use those generated with ARCH=arm. Signed-off-by: Catalin Marinas <catalin.marinas@arm.com> Acked-by: Will Deacon <will.deacon@arm.com>
2012-10-04UAPI: Split compound conditionals containing __KERNEL__ in Arm64David Howells
Split compound conditionals containing __KERNEL__ in Arm64 where possible to make it easier for the UAPI disintegration scripts to handle them. Signed-off-by: David Howells <dhowells@redhat.com> Acked-by: Catalin Marinas <catalin.marinas@arm.com>
2012-09-17arm64: ELF definitionsCatalin Marinas
This patch adds definitions for the ELF format, including personality personality setting and EXEC_PAGESIZE. The are only two hwcap definitions for 64-bit applications - HWCAP_FP and HWCAP_ASIMD.
