2016-07-08powerpc/configs: Remove old symbols from defconfigsAndrew Donnellan
Update defconfigs to remove old symbols and comments referencing old symbols. Dropped: * AVERAGE * INET_LRO * EXT3_DEFAULTS_TO_ORDERED * EXT3_FS_XATTR * I2O * INFINIBAND_AMSO1100 * INFINIBAND_EHCA * IP1000 Replaced: * BLK_DEV_XIP -> BLK_DEV_RAM_DAX * CLK_PPC_CORENET -> CLK_QORIQ * EXT2_FS_XIP -> FS_DAX * EXT3_FS* -> EXT4_FS* Signed-off-by: Andrew Donnellan <andrew.donnellan@au1.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Michael Ellerman <mpe@ellerman.id.au>
2015-01-20powerpc: Update all configs using savedefconfigMichael Ellerman
It looks like it's ~4 years since we updated some of these, so do a bulk update. Verified that the before and after generated configs are exactly the same. Which begs the question why update them? The answer is that it can be confusing when the stored defconfig drifts too far from the generated result. Signed-off-by: Michael Ellerman <mpe@ellerman.id.au>
2014-11-30netpoll: delete defconfig references to obsolete NETPOLL_TRAPPaul Gortmaker
In commit 9c62a68d13119a1ca9718381d97b0cb415ff4e9d ("netpoll: Remove dead packet receive code (CONFIG_NETPOLL_TRAP)") this Kconfig option was removed. So remove references to it from all defconfigs as well. Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2014-09-24powerpc: Set CONFIG_NET=y in defconfigsMichal Marek
Commit 5d6be6a5 ("scsi_netlink : Make SCSI_NETLINK dependent on NET instead of selecting NET") removed what happened to be the only instance of 'select NET'. Defconfigs that were relying on the select now lack networking support. 2014-09-09powerpc: Make CONFIG_FHANDLE=y for all 64 bit powerpc defconfigsCyril Bur
CONFIG_FHANDLE is a requirement for systemd and with the increasing uptake of systemd within distros it makes sense for 64 bit defconfigs to include it. Signed-off-by: Cyril Bur <cyril.bur@au1.ibm.com>
2014-03-23powerpc: Use default set of netfilter modules (CONFIG_NETFILTER_ADVANCED=n)Anton Blanchard
Our netfilter options are stale and important things like masquerading are no longer enabled. Instead of trying to keep up with any updates, set CONFIG_NETFILTER_ADVANCED=n on ppc64* and pseries* defconfigs. This enables the most common netfilter modules for us. While here, enable the network bridge module which is heavily used in KVM setups. Signed-off-by: Anton Blanchard <anton@samba.org> Signed-off-by: Benjamin Herrenschmidt <benh@kernel.crashing.org>
2013-10-30powerpc: sync ppc64, ppc64e and pseries configsAnton Blanchard
Run savedefconfig over the ppc64, ppc64e and pseries config Signed-off-by: Anton Blanchard <anton@samba.org> Signed-off-by: Benjamin Herrenschmidt <benh@kernel.crashing.org>
2013-10-29powerpc/85xx: use one kernel option for all the CoreNet_Generic boardsKevin Hao
Currently all these boards use the same machine struct and also select the same kernel options, so it seems a bit of redundant to keep one separate kernel option for each board. Also update the defconfigs according to this change. Signed-off-by: Kevin Hao <haokexin@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Scott Wood <scottwood@freescale.com>
2013-07-25PCI: hotplug: Convert to be builtin only, not modularBjorn Helgaas
Convert CONFIG_HOTPLUG_PCI from tristate to bool. This only affects the hotplug core; several of the hotplug drivers can still be modules. Signed-off-by: Bjorn Helgaas <bhelgaas@google.com> Acked-by: Rafael J. Wysocki <rafael.j.wysocki@intel.com> Acked-by: Yinghai Lu <yinghai@kernel.org>
2013-01-10powerpc: Enable devtmpfs, EFI partition support and tmpfs ACLs on pseries, ↵Anton Blanchard
ppc64 and ppc64e defconfig We need devtmpfs enabled to boot on recent versions of Fedora. EFI partitions will be useful for large block devices. tmpfs ACL support is used by some distros for managing access to devices. 2013-01-10powerpc: Cleanup NLS config options on pseries, ppc64 and ppc64e defconfigAnton Blanchard
Set CONFIG_NLS_DEFAULT to utf8. The distros do this (eg ppc64 FC17 and RHEL6) as well as the x86 defconfigs. Userspace these days is most likely to expect utf8 anyway. Signed-off-by: Anton Blanchard <anton@samba.org> Signed-off-by: Benjamin Herrenschmidt <benh@kernel.crashing.org>
2013-01-10powerpc: Run savedefconfig over pseries, ppc64 and ppc64e defconfigAnton Blanchard
No changes, just update the configs with savedefconfig. Signed-off-by: Anton Blanchard <anton@samba.org> Signed-off-by: Benjamin Herrenschmidt <benh@kernel.crashing.org>

2010-10-14powerpc/fsl-booke: Add e55xx (64-bit) smp defconfigKumar Gala
The p5020 SoC from Freescale is the first 64-bit Book-E processor and utilizes the two e5500 cores. Adding a defconfig that enables basic kernel for e5500 based processors. Also added the p5020 / e5500 support to the ppc64e defconfig. Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2010-08-09powerpc: Trim defconfigsBenjamin Herrenschmidt
This trims all our defconfigs using make savedefconfig Signed-off-by: Benjamin Herrenschmidt <benh@kernel.crashing.org>

2009-12-18powerpc/defconfigs: Disable token ring in powerpc defconfigsAnton Blanchard
Token what? Lets save some space in our powerpc kernels and remove token ring support. Signed-off-by: Anton Blanchard <anton@samba.org> Signed-off-by: Benjamin Herrenschmidt <benh@kernel.crashing.org>
2009-10-27powerpc: Add a Book-3E 64-bit defconfigKumar Gala
This defconfig's purpose at this time is to help catch compile errors between Book-3S and Book-3E support in ppc64. It is based on the ppc64_defconfig with some things disabled that we dont support on Book-3E right now (hugetlbfs, slices, etc.) Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org> Signed-off-by: Benjamin Herrenschmidt <benh@kernel.crashing.org>
