2011-11-28sh: switch to GENERIC_PCI_IOMAPMichael S. Tsirkin
sh copied pci_iomap from generic code, probably to avoid pulling the rest of iomap.c in. Since that's in a separate file now, we can reuse the common implementation. Signed-off-by: Michael S. Tsirkin <mst@redhat.com>
2011-11-24lib: move GENERIC_IOMAP to lib/KconfigMichael S. Tsirkin
define GENERIC_IOMAP in a central location instead of all architectures. This will be helpful for the follow-up patch which makes it select other configs. Code is also a bit shorter this way. Signed-off-by: Michael S. Tsirkin <mst@redhat.com>
2011-11-24ASoC: fsi-ak4642: modify specification method of FSI / ak464xKuninori Morimoto
Current fsi-ak4642 was using id_entry name in order to specify FSI port and ak464x codec. But it was no sense, no flexibility. Platform can specify FSI/ak464x pair by this patch. 2011-11-24sh: clkfwk: setup clock parent from current register valueKuninori Morimoto
Some clocks can select its parent clock by CPG register. But it might have been modified by boot-loader or something. This patch removed fixed initial parent clock, and setup it from their current register settings. It works on div6 reparent clocks for now. 2011-11-24sh: sh7723.h: bugfix: remove unused clock indexKuninori Morimoto
Current sh clocks are using pm_runtime frame work instead of old hwblk. So, HWBLK_UNKNOWN, HWBLK_DBG and HWBLK_SUBC are not needed for now. Now mstp32 clocks are registered by sh_clk_mstp32_register(), but the clock which isn't defined by SH_CLK_MSTP32() macro will be crash. because it doesn't have enable_reg. 2011-11-07cpuidle: Single/Global registration of idle statesDeepthi Dharwar
This patch makes the cpuidle_states structure global (single copy) instead of per-cpu. The statistics needed on per-cpu basis by the governor are kept per-cpu. This simplifies the cpuidle subsystem as state registration is done by single cpu only. Having single copy of cpuidle_states saves memory. Rare case of asymmetric C-states can be handled within the cpuidle driver and architectures such as POWER do not have asymmetric C-states. Having single/global registration of all the idle states, dynamic C-state transitions on x86 are handled by the boot cpu. Here, the boot cpu would disable all the devices, re-populate the states and later enable all the devices, irrespective of the cpu that would receive the notification first. 2011-11-07cpuidle: Move dev->last_residency update to driver enter routine; remove ↵Deepthi Dharwar
dev->last_state Cpuidle governor only suggests the state to enter using the governor->select() interface, but allows the low level driver to override the recommended state. The actual entered state may be different because of software or hardware demotion. Software demotion is done by the back-end cpuidle driver and can be accounted correctly. Current cpuidle code uses last_state field to capture the actual state entered and based on that updates the statistics for the state entered. Ideally the driver enter routine should update the counters, and it should return the state actually entered rather than the time spent there. The generic cpuidle code should simply handle where the counters live in the sysfs namespace, not updating the counters. Register crashk_res so that it can be used by kexec-tools via /proc/iomem.
