ACPICA commit b60612373a4ef63b64a57c124576d7ddb6d8efb6 For physical addresses, since the address may exceed 32-bit address range after calculation, we should use 0x%8.8X%8.8X instead of ACPI_PRINTF_UINT and ACPI_FORMAT_UINT64() instead of ACPI_FORMAT_NATIVE_UINT()/ACPI_FORMAT_TO_UINT(). This patch also removes above replaced macros as there are no users. This is a preparation to switch acpi_physical_address to 64-bit on 32-bit kernel builds. ACPI_PHYSADDR_TO_PTR()/ACPI_PTR_TO_PHYSADDR(). ACPICA commit 154f6d074dd38d6ebc0467ad454454e6c5c9ecdf There are code pieces converting pointers using "(acpi_physical_address) x" or "ACPI_CAST_PTR (t, x)" formats, this patch cleans up them. Known issues: 1. Cleanup of "(ACPI_PHYSICAL_ADDRRESS) x" for a table field For the conversions around the table fields, it is better to fix it with alignment also fixed. So this patch doesn't modify such code. There should be no functional problem by leaving them unchanged. 2013-10-31ACPICA: Linuxize: Change indentation of C labels.Lv Zheng
It is reported by kernel build test systems that all ACPICA source files in the kernel tree have incorrect label indentation. 2013-01-10ACPICA: Cleanup updated comments.Lv Zheng
This is a cosmetic patch only. Comparison of the resulting binary showed only line number differences. This patch does not affect the generation of the Linux binary. This patch decreases 558 lines of 20121018 divergence.diff. This patch reduces the source code diff between Linux and ACPICA by cleaning the comments that already have been updated in ACPICA. There is no extra indentation done in this patch. Even the empty line deletions and insertions are also splitted into another cleanup patch so that this patch can be easily reviewed, and the binary differences can be held to a lowest level. 2012-11-14ACPICA: Fix indent caused divergences.Lv Zheng
New version of "indent" program will generate different outputs that will lead to the divergences between the Linux and the ACPICA. This patch fixes such divergences caused by the "indent" program. The version of the "indent" used for this patch is "GNU indent 2.2.11". This patch will not affect the generated vmlinux binary. This will decrease 581 lines of 20120913 divergence.diff. 2010-07-07ACPICA: Performance enhancement for namespace search and accessAlexey Starikovskiy
This change enhances the performance of namespace searches and walks by adding a backpointer to the parent in each namespace node. On large namespaces, this change can improve overall ACPI performance by up to 9X. Adding a pointer to each namespace node increases the overall size of the internal namespace by about 5%, since each namespace entry usually consists of both a namespace node and an ACPI operand object.
