In function hfc4s8s_probe(), the value of return variable err should be
negative on failures. However, when the call to request_region() returns
NULL, the value of err is 0. This patch fixes the bug, assigning
"-EBUSY" to err on the path that request_region() fails.

Commit 35a4a57 ("isdn: clean up debug format string usage") introduced
a safeguard to avoid accidential format string interpolation of data
when calling debugl1 or HiSax_putstatus. This did however not take into
account VHiSax_putstatus (called by HiSax_putstatus) does *not* call
vsprintf if the head parameter is NULL - the format string is treated
as plain text then instead. As a result, the string "%s" is processed
literally, and the actual information is lost. This affects the isdnlog
userspace program which stopped logging information since that commit.
So revert the HiSax_putstatus invocations to the previous state.

The openvswitch conflicts were overlapping changes. One was

The skb_clone() return value was not checked and the skb_realloc_headroom()
usage was wrong, the old skb was not freed. It turned out, that the
skb_clone is not needed at all, the skb_realloc_headroom() will create a
private copy with enough headroom and the original SKB can be used for the
ACK queue.
We need to requeue the original skb if the call failed, since the upper
layer cannot be informed about memory shortage.

Difference of unsigned values is also unsigned so it does not make
sense to check its sign.
The problem has been detected using proposed semantic patch
scripts/coccinelle/tests/unsigned_lesser_than_zero.cocci [1].

Fix an allmodconfig compilation failer on microblaze due to big endian
architectures being apparently unsupported by the NetJet code:
drivers/isdn/hisax/nj_s.c: In function 'setup_netjet_s':

Modify the relevant Kconfig such that the NetJet code is not built on
microblaze anymore.
Note that endianess on microblaze is not determined through Kconfig,
but by means of a compiler provided CPP macro, namely __MICROBLAZEEL__.
However, gcc defaults to big endianess on that platform.

In big endian cases, macro cpu_to_le16 unfolds to __swab16 which
provides special case for constants. In little endian cases,
__constant_cpu_to_le16 and cpu_to_le16 expand directly to the
same expression. So, replace __constant_cpu_to_le16 with
cpu_to_le16 with the goal of getting rid of the definition of
__constant_cpu_to_le16 completely.
The semantic patch that performs this transformation is as follows:

Replace a misspelled function name by %s and then __func__.
In the first case, the print is just dropped, because kmalloc itself does
enough error reporting.
This was done using Coccinelle, including the use of Levenshtein distance,
as proposed by Rasmus Villemoes.

ignores the second one, and apparently nobody noticed the problem so
far, so let's remove that second entry.

The first half of the HiSax config options is presented if
ISDN_DRV_HISAX!=n, while the second half of the options is presented
if ISDN_DRV_HISAX. That's the same, so merge both conditionals.

the start of git history. I have deleted it.
There are also a few indenting mistakes where one side of the ifdef
wasn't indented correctly which I fixed as well.

The state machine code in the elsa driver uses interruptible_sleep_on
to wait for state changes, which is racy. A closer look at the possible
states reveals that it is always used to wait for getting back into
ARCOFI_NOP, so we can use wait_event_interruptible instead.

With arm:allmodconfig, building the Teles PCI driver fails with
telespci.c:294:2: error: #error "not running on big endian machines now"
Similar, building the driver for HFC PCI-Bus cards fails with
hfc_pci.c:1647:2: error: #error "not running on big endian machines now"
Remove the big endian cpp check from both drivers to fix the build errors.

Avoid unneeded local string buffers for constructing debug output. Also

Disabling CONFIG_VIRT_TO_BUS on ARM showed that the hisax netjet
driver depends on this deprecated functionality but is not
marked so in Kconfig.
Rather than adding ARM to the already long list of architectures
that this driver is broken on, this patch adds 'depends on
VIRT_TO_BUS' and removes the dependency on !SPARC, which is
also implied by that.

The CONFIG_EXPERIMENTAL config item has not carried much meaning for a
while now and is almost always enabled by default. As agreed during the
Linux kernel summit, remove it from any "depends on" lines in Kconfigs.

CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As a result, the __dev*
markings need to be removed.
This change removes the use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata,
and __devexit from these drivers.
Based on patches originally written by Bill Pemberton, but redone by me
in order to handle some of the coding style issues better, by hand.

Hub-initiated LPM is not good for USB communications devices. Comms
devices should be able to tell when their link can go into a lower power
state, because they know when an incoming transmission is finished.
Ideally, these devices would slam their links into a lower power state,
using the device-initiated LPM, after finishing the last packet of their
data transfer.
If we enable the idle timeouts for the parent hubs to enable
hub-initiated LPM, we will get a lot of useless LPM packets on the bus
as the devices reject LPM transitions when they're in the middle of
receiving data. Worse, some devices might blindly accept the
hub-initiated LPM and power down their radios while they're in the
middle of receiving a transmission.
The Intel Windows folks are disabling hub-initiated LPM for all USB
communications devices under a xHCI USB 3.0 host. In order to keep
the Linux behavior as close as possible to Windows, we need to do the
same in Linux.
Set the disable_hub_initiated_lpm flag for for all USB communications
drivers. I know there aren't currently any USB 3.0 devices that
implement these class specifications, but we should be ready if they do.

isdn source code uses a not-current coding style.
Update the coding style used on a per-line basis
so that git diff -w shows only elided blank lines
at EOF.
Done with emacs and some scripts and some typing.
Built x86 allyesconfig.
No detected change in objdump -d or size.

Standardize the style for compiler based printf format verification.
Standardized the location of __printf too.
Done via script and a little typing.

The file st5481_init.c locally defines and initializes the adapter_list
variable, but does not use it for anything. Removing the list makes it
possible to remove the list field from the st5481_adapter data structure.
In the function probe_st5481, it also makes it possible to free the locally
allocated adapter value on an error exit.
