2016-07-17drivers: misc: ti-st: Use int instead of fuzzy char for callback statusGeert Uytterhoeven
On mips and parisc: drivers/bluetooth/btwilink.c: In function 'ti_st_open': drivers/bluetooth/btwilink.c:174:21: warning: overflow in implicit constant conversion [-Woverflow] hst->reg_status = -EINPROGRESS; drivers/nfc/nfcwilink.c: In function 'nfcwilink_open': drivers/nfc/nfcwilink.c:396:31: warning: overflow in implicit constant conversion [-Woverflow] drv->st_register_cb_status = -EINPROGRESS; There are actually two issues: 1. Whether "char" is signed or unsigned depends on the architecture. As the completion callback data is used to pass a (negative) error code, it should always be signed. 2. EINPROGRESS is 150 on mips, 245 on parisc. Hence -EINPROGRESS doesn't fit in a signed 8-bit number. Change the callback status from "char" to "int" to fix these. 2015-10-19NFC: nfcwilink: Drop a useless static qualifierChristophe JAILLET
There is no need to have the 'struct nfcwilink *drv' variable static in the probe function. It only wastes a few bytes of memory. Signed-off-by: Christophe JAILLET <christophe.jaillet@wanadoo.fr> Signed-off-by: Samuel Ortiz <sameo@linux.intel.com>
2014-10-20nfc: drop owner assignment from platform_driversWolfram Sang
A platform_driver does not need to set an owner, it will be populated by the driver core. Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de>
2013-12-11nfc: Fix FSF address in file headersJeff Kirsher
Several files refer to an old address for the Free Software Foundation in the file header comment. Resolve by replacing the address with the URL <http://www.gnu.org/licenses/> so that we do not have to keep updating the header comments anytime the address changes. Driver core sets driver data to NULL upon failure or remove. Cc: Ilan Elias <ilane@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Sachin Kamat <sachin.kamat@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Samuel Ortiz <sameo@linux.intel.com>
2013-09-24NFC: Standardize logging styleJoe Perches
Use standardized styles to minimize coding defects. Always use nfc_<level> where feasible. Add \n to formats where appropriate. Typo "it it" correction. Add #define pr_fmt where appropriate. Remove function tracing logging messages. Remove OOM messages. Signed-off-by: Joe Perches <joe@perches.com> Signed-off-by: Samuel Ortiz <sameo@linux.intel.com>
2013-09-24NFC: Convert nfc_dev_info and nfc_dev_err to nfc_<level>Joe Perches
Use a more standard kernel style macro logging name. Standardize the spacing of the "NFC: " prefix. Add \n to uses, remove from macro. Fix the defective uses that already had a \n. Signed-off-by: Joe Perches <joe@perches.com> Signed-off-by: Samuel Ortiz <sameo@linux.intel.com>
2013-09-24NFC: Replace nfc_dev_dbg with dev_dbgJoe Perches
Use the generic kernel function instead of a home-grown one that does the same thing. Add \n to uses not at the macro. Don't add \n where the nfc_dev_dbg macro mistakenly had them already. Signed-off-by: Joe Perches <joe@perches.com> Signed-off-by: Samuel Ortiz <sameo@linux.intel.com>
2013-06-14NFC: Remove the static supported_se fieldSamuel Ortiz
Supported secure elements are typically found during a discovery process initiated when the NFC controller is up and running. For a given NFC chipset there can be many configurations (embedded SE or not, with or without a SIM card wired to the NFC controller SWP interface, etc...) and thus driver code will never know before hand which SEs are available. So we remove this field, it will be replaced by a real SE discovery mechanism. Signed-off-by: Samuel Ortiz <sameo@linux.intel.com>
2013-06-13NFC: NCI: Fix skb->dev usageFrederic Danis
skb->dev is used for carrying a net_device pointer and not an nci_dev pointer. Remove usage of skb-dev to carry nci_dev and replace it by parameter in nci_recv_frame(), nci_send_frame() and driver send() functions. NfcWilink driver is also updated to use those functions. 2013-01-09NFC: Initial Secure Element APISamuel Ortiz
Each NFC adapter can have several links to different secure elements and that property needs to be exported by the drivers. A secure element link can be enabled and disabled, and card emulation will be handled by the currently active one. Otherwise card emulation will be host implemented. 2013-01-09NFC: nfcwilink: Use devm_kzallocJulia Lawall
devm_kzalloc allocates memory that is released when a driver detaches. This patch uses devm_kzalloc for data that is allocated in the probe function of a platform device and is only freed in the remove function. 2012-07-09NFC: Add ISO 14443 type B protocolSamuel Ortiz
Some devices (e.g. Sony's PaSoRi) can not do type B polling, so we have to make a distinction between ISO14443 type A and B poll modes. Cc: Eric Lapuyade <eric.lapuyade@intel.com> Cc: Ilan Elias <ilane@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Samuel Ortiz <sameo@linux.intel.com>

2012-01-24NFC: Download TI NFC init scriptIlan Elias
Download TI NFC init script during nfcwilink open operation, after the NFC channel is registered with TI shared transport. TI NFC init script is written in BTS format. First, read the chip version via a special vendor specific command. Second, we request the relevant BTS file from the user space, and then send the BTS commands to the chip.
