udc-core learned that it shouldn't use invalid pointers
when unloading a gadget driver.
net2272 and net2280 got a fix for a regression caused by
the udc_start/udc_stop conversion.
We're defining a static inline no-op for otg_ulpi_create()
to prevent build errors when that driver isn't enabled.
FunctionFS got a fix for an off-by-one error when binding
and unbinding instances of FunctionFS.
MUSB learned that it shouldn't try to unmap buffers which
weren't previously mapped.
f_rndis got a fix for a possible NULL pointer dereference
in a debugging message code.
MUSB's DA8xx glue layer got a build fix due to a typo.

musb does not use DMA buffer for ep0 but it uses the same giveback
function *musb_g_giveback* for all endpoints (*musb_g_ep0_giveback* calls
*musb_g_giveback*). So for ep0 case request.dma will be '0'
and will result in kernel OOPS if tried to *unmap_dma_buffer* for requests in
ep0. Fixed it by doing *unmap_dma_buffer* only for valid DMA addr and
checking that musb_ep->dma is valid when unmapping.

Commit 80ab72e1 (usb: musb: omap2430: fix the readiness check
in omap_musb_mailbox) made the check incorrect, as we will lose the
glue/link status during the normal built-in probe order (twl4030_usb is
probed after musb omap2430, but before musb core is ready).
As a result, if you boot with USB cable on and load g_ether, the
connection does not work as the code thinks the cable is off and the
phy gets powered down immediately. This is a major regression in 3.9-rc1.
So the proper check should be: exit if _glue is NULL, but if it's
initialized we memorize the status, and then check if the musb core
is ready.

When running 100 randconfig iterations, I found

those are quite unnecessary, the only thing
we need to be careful about is USB_OTG_UTILS
which get properly selected by PHY drivers.
For now, MUSB will select only USB_OTG_UTILS
until we add stubs for the cases when PHY
layer isn't enabled.

Currently it is possible to have:
USB_MUSB_OMAP2PLUS=m
TWL4030_USB=y
which would result compile time error due to missing symbols.
With this change USB_MUSB_OMAP2PLUS and TWL4030_USB will be in sync.

Two new PHY drivers coming here: one for Samsung,
one for OMAP. Both architectures are adding USB3
support to mainline kernel.
The PHY layer now allows us to have mulitple PHYs
of the same type, which is necessary for platforms
which provide more than one USB peripheral port.
There's also a few cleanups here: removal of __dev*
annotations, conversion of a cast to to_delayed_work(),
and mxs-phy learns about ->set_suspend.

New PHY lib APIs like usb_add_phy_dev() and devm_usb_get_phy_dev() are
used in MUSB (OMAP), in order to make use of the binding information
provided in the board file (of OMAP platforms).
All the platforms should be modified similar to this to add and get the
PHY.

Convert all uses of devm_request_and_ioremap() to the newly introduced
devm_ioremap_resource() which provides more consistent error handling.
devm_ioremap_resource() provides its own error messages so all explicit
error messages can be removed from the failure code paths.

This patch fixes the following:
WARNING: vmlinux.o(.text+0x1e709c): Section mismatch in reference from the funct
ion dma_controller_create() to the function .init.text:cppi_controller_start()
The function dma_controller_create() references
the function __init cppi_controller_start().
This is often because dma_controller_create lacks a __init
annotation or the annotation of cppi_controller_start is wrong.
This warning is there due to the deficiency in the commit 07a67bbb (usb: musb:
Make dma_controller_create __devinit).
Since the start() method is only called from musb_init_controller() which is
not annotated, drop '__init' annotation from cppi_controller_start() and also
cppi_pool_init() since it gets called from that function, to avoid another
section mismatch warning...

Commit 00a0b1d58af873d842580dcac55f3b156c3a4077 (usb: musb: omap: Add device
tree support for omap musb glue) assigns result of devm_kzalloc() call to
the 'config' variable but then checks for NULL the 'data' variable (already
checked after previous call). Thus we risk a kernel oops further when data
pointed by 'config' is written to by subsequent of_property_read_u32() calls
iff the allocation happens to fail...

In the fail1~fail5 failure path, pm_runtime_disable() should
be called to avoid 'Unbalanced pm_runtime_enable' error in
next probe() which may be triggered by defer probe or next
'modprobe musb_hdrc'.

Whenever an URB is programmed for transfer, the TXFIFO
is flushed. This results in valid packets of the
previous transfer to get flushed when double buffering
is enabled (The MUSB_TXCSR_FIFONOTEMPTY bit in TXCSR
is set indicating that a packet in the FIFO is yet to be sent)
For ex:- In Host mode Audio, noise is heard in the headset
when double buffering is enabled on the ISO endpoint.
The fifo flush is removed for double buffering case.
The fifo is now flushed only in cases of error or when
aborting a transfer.
Also, In Host MSC case, data toggle errors are seen when double
buffering is enabled on the bulk endpoint. Whenever an URB is
programmed for transfer, the data toggle is set manually
resulting in data toggle errors on the bus. Leave the data
toggle handling upto the hardware in the double buffering case.

Commit 00a0b1d58af873d842580dcac55f3b156c3a4077 (usb: musb: omap: Add device
tree support for omap musb glue) added assignments of the 'ret' variable to
-ENOMEM on *some* error paths of the calls to devm_kzalloc(), while that
variable was already pre-initialized for to that value, so these assignments
were completely redundant. Kill them, fixing overindented string, while at it.

The "mult" factor is not updated properly for the can_bulk_split()
case.
The AUTOSET bit in the TXCSR is not being set if the "mult"
factor is greater than 1 for the High Bandwidth ISO case.
But the "mult" factor is also greater than 1 in case of Full speed
bulk transfers with the packet splitting in TXMAXP register
enabled with can_bulk_split().
Without the AUTOSET the DMA transfers will not progress in mode1

The TXMAXP register is not set correctly for full speed bulk case
when the can_bulk_split() is used. Without this PIO transfers will
not take place correctly

Here is the first set of fixes for v3.8-rc cycle.
There is a build fix for musb's dsps glue layer caused
by some header cleanup on the OMAP tree.
Marvel's USB drivers got a fix up for clk API usage
switching over to clk_prepare() calls.
u_serial has a bug fix for a missing wake_up() which
would make gs_cleanup() wait forever for gs_close()
to finish.
A minor bug fix on dwc3's debugfs interface which
would make us read wrong addresses when dumping
all registers.
dummy_hcd learned how to enumerate g_multi.
s3c-hsotg now understands that we shouldn't kfree()
memory allocated with devm_*.
Other than that, there are a bunch of other minor fixes
on renesas_usbhs, tcm_usb_gadget and amd5536udc.
All patches have been pending on mailing for many weeks
and shouldn't cause any problems.

accessors with io{read,write}{8,16,32}_rep calls instead.

and are being removed from the asm-generic/io.h interface.
This patch replaces the usage of these string functions in the tusb6010
accessors with io{read,write}{8,16,32}_rep calls instead.

Pull ARM SoC power management and clock changes from Olof Johansson:
"This branch contains a largeish set of updates of power management and
clock setup. The bulk of it is for OMAP/AM33xx platforms, but also a
few around hotplug/suspend/resume on Exynos.
It includes a split-up of some of the OMAP clock data into separate

"54db6ee ARM: OMAP2+: Introduce local usb.h" moved control module bit
definitions from plat/usb.h (which dsps glue was using) to a local
header in mach-omap2. And in parallel,
"c68bb4c usb: musb: dsps: control module handling (quirk)" added
control module handling capability to dsps glue driver that used
those control module bit definitions.
Integration of above two changes would cause build error in musb dsps
glue driver (they go through different trees upstream) as is seen now
in linux-next. Fix it by adding necessary definitions in dsps glue
driver.

to avoid adding new multiplatform specific include paths, the
other patches are just trivial compile fixes.

Based on earlier discussions[1] we attempted to find a suitable
location for the omap DMA header in commit 2b6c4e73 (ARM: OMAP:
DMA: Move plat/dma.h to plat-omap/dma-omap.h) until the conversion
to dmaengine is complete.
Unfortunately that was before I was able to try to test compile
of the ARM multiplatform builds for omap2+, and the end result
was not very good.
So I'm creating yet another all over the place patch to cut the
last dependency for building omap2+ for ARM multiplatform. After
this, we have finally removed the driver dependencies to the
arch/arm code, except for few drivers that are being worked on.
The other option was to make the <plat-omap/dma-omap.h> path
to work, but we'd have to add some new header directory to for
multiplatform builds.
Or we would have to manually include arch/arm/plat-omap/include
again from arch/arm/Makefile for omap2+.
Neither of these alternatives sound appealing as they will
likely lead addition of various other headers exposed to the
drivers, which we want to avoid for the multiplatform kernels.
Since we already have a minimal include/linux/omap-dma.h,
let's just use that instead and add a note to it to not
use the custom omap DMA functions any longer where possible.
Note that converting omap DMA to dmaengine depends on
dmaengine supporting automatically incrementing the FIFO
address at the device end, and converting all the remaining
legacy drivers. So it's going to be few more merge windows.

Merging in mainline back to next/cleanup since it has collected a few
conflicts between fixes going upstream and some of the cleanup patches.
Git doesn't auto-resolve some of them, and they're mostly noise so let's
take care of it locally.

USB gadget patches from Felipe:
"usb: gadget: patches for v3.8
renesas_usbhs implements ->pullup() method, switches over
to devm_request_irq(), adds support for DMA Engine and
got a few miscelaneous cleanups.
The NCM gadget got an endianness fix and the Ethernet
gadget a frame size fix.
We're finally removing the g_file_storage gadget and
sticking to g_mass_storage and the new tcm_usb_gadget
gadgets since that was a huge duplicaton of effort anyway.
While removing g_file_storage, we also had to fix a bunch
of defconfigs which were still pointing to the old gadget.
There's a big series getting us closer to being able to
introduce our configfs interface. The series converts
functions into loadable modules which will, eventually,
be registered to the configfs interface.
Other than that there's the usual typo fixes and miscelaneous
cleanups all over the place."

We have here the usual set of cleanups for the MUSB driver; a
big set of patches converting platform_device_del() and
platform_device_put() into platform_device_unregister().
Another big set was applied converting to module_platform_driver()
macro in order to reduce some boilerplate code from all glue
layers.
Other than that, we had a series fixing one known silicon errata
where we couldn't read a few registers. In order to fix that
we're now using shadow variables for reads and only writing
to the registers which are known to break functionality when
read."
