2016-03-08netfilter: ipset: Check IPSET_ATTR_ETHER netlink attribute lengthJozsef Kadlecsik
Julia Lawall pointed out that IPSET_ATTR_ETHER netlink attribute length was not checked explicitly, just for the maximum possible size. Malicious netlink clients could send shorter attribute and thus resulting a kernel read after the buffer. The patch adds the explicit length checkings. 2015-11-07netfilter: ipset: Fix extension alignmentJozsef Kadlecsik
The data extensions in ipset lacked the proper memory alignment and thus could lead to kernel crash on several architectures. Therefore the structures have been reorganized and alignment attributes added where needed. The patch was tested on armv7h by Gerhard Wiesinger and on x86_64, sparc64 by Jozsef Kadlecsik. 2015-06-14netfilter: ipset: Introduce RCU locking in bitmap:* typesJozsef Kadlecsik
There's nothing much required because the bitmap types use atomic bit operations. However the logic of adding elements slightly changed: first the MAC address updated (which is not atomic), then the element activated (added). The extensions may call kfree_rcu() therefore we call rcu_barrier() at module removal. Signed-off-by: Jozsef Kadlecsik <kadlec@blackhole.kfki.hu>
2015-06-14netfilter: ipset: Make sure we always return line number on batchSergey Popovich
Even if we return with generic IPSET_ERR_PROTOCOL it is good idea to return line number if we called in batch mode. Moreover we are not always exiting with IPSET_ERR_PROTOCOL. For example hash:ip,port, net may return IPSET_ERR_HASH_RANGE_UNSUPPORTED or IPSET_ERR_INVALID_CIDR. 2015-05-13netfilter: ipset: Return ipset error instead of boolSergey Popovich
Statement ret = func1() || func2() returns 0 when both func1() and func2() return 0, or 1 if func1() or func2() returns non-zero. However in our case func1() and func2() returns error code on failure, so it seems good to propagate such error codes, rather than returning 1 in case of failure. 2013-09-30netfiler: ipset: Add net namespace for ipsetVitaly Lavrov
This patch adds netns support for ipset. Major changes were made in ip_set_core.c and ip_set.h. Global variables are moved to per net namespace. Added initialization code and the destruction of the network namespace ipset subsystem. In the prototypes of public functions ip_set_* added parameter "struct net*". The remaining corrections related to the change prototypes of public functions ip_set_*. 2013-09-30netfilter: ipset: Support comments in bitmap-type ipsets.Oliver Smith
This provides kernel support for creating bitmap ipsets with comment support. As is the case for hashes, this incurs a penalty when flushing or destroying the entire ipset as the entries must first be walked in order to free the comment strings. This penalty is of course far less than the cost of listing an ipset to userspace. Any set created without support for comments will be flushed/destroyed as before. 2011-06-16netfilter: ipset: fix adding ranges to hash typesJozsef Kadlecsik

2011-06-16netfilter: ipset: timeout can be modified for already added elementsJozsef Kadlecsik
When an element to a set with timeout added, one can change the timeout by "readding" the element with the "-exist" flag. That means the timeout value is reset to the specified one (or to the default from the set specification if the "timeout n" option is not used). Example ipset add foo 1.2.3.4 timeout 10 ipset add foo 1.2.3.4 timeout 600 -exist Signed-off-by: Jozsef Kadlecsik <kadlec@blackhole.kfki.hu> Signed-off-by: Patrick McHardy <kaber@trash.net>
2011-04-13netfilter: ipset: bitmap:ip,mac type requires "src" for MACJozsef Kadlecsik
Enforce that the second "src/dst" parameter of the set match and SET target must be "src", because we have access to the source MAC only in the packet. The previous behaviour, that the type required the second parameter but actually ignored the value was counter-intuitive and confusing. 2011-03-29netfilter: ipset: References are protected by rwlock instead of mutexJozsef Kadlecsik
The timeout variant of the list:set type must reference the member sets. However, its garbage collector runs at timer interrupt so the mutex protection of the references is a no go. 2011-02-01netfilter: ipset: remove unnecessary includesPatrick McHardy
None of the set types need uaccess.h since this is handled centrally in ip_set_core. Most set types additionally don't need bitops.h and spinlock.h since they use neither. tcp.h is only needed by those using before(), udp.h is not needed at all. Signed-off-by: Patrick McHardy <kaber@trash.net>
2011-02-01netfilter: ipset: bitmap:ip,mac type supportJozsef Kadlecsik
The module implements the bitmap:ip,mac set type in two flavours, without and with timeout support. In this kind of set one can store IPv4 address and (source) MAC address pairs. The type supports elements added without the MAC part filled out: when the first matching from kernel happens, the MAC part is automatically filled out. The timing out of the elements stars when an element is complete in the IP,MAC pair. Signed-off-by: Jozsef Kadlecsik <kadlec@blackhole.kfki.hu> Signed-off-by: Patrick McHardy <kaber@trash.net>
