ASoC: Updates for v3.12
- DAPM is now mandatory for CODEC drivers in order to avoid the repeated
regressions in the special cases for non-DAPM CODECs and make it
easier to integrate with other components on boards. All existing
drivers have had some level of DAPM support added.
- A lot of cleanups in DAPM plus support for maintaining controls in a
specific state while a DAPM widget all contributed by Lars-Peter Clausen.
- Core helpers for bitbanged AC'97 reset from Markus Pargmann.
- New drivers and support for Analog Devices ADAU1702 and ADAU1401(a),
Asahi Kasei Microdevices AK4554, Atmel AT91ASM9x5 and WM8904 based
machines, Freescale S/PDIF and SSI AC'97, Renesas R-Car SoCs, Samsung
Exynos5420 SoCs, Texas Instruments PCM1681 and PCM1792A and Wolfson
Microelectronics WM8997.
- Support for building drivers that can support it cross-platform for
compile test.

While the conversion of BKL to mutex in commit 645ef9ef, the mutex
definition was put in a wrong place inside #ifdef WSND_DEBUG, which
leads to the build error. Just move it outside the ifdef.

Commit d4702b189c ("sound: Fix make allmodconfig on MIPS") added a
(negative) dependency on ISA_DMA_SUPPORT_BROKEN. Since that Kconfig
symbol doesn't exist, this dependency will always evaluate to true.
Apparently GENERIC_ISA_DMA_SUPPORT_BROKEN was meant to be used here.

The compile of soundcard.c is broken on MIPS when allmodconfig is used
because of the missing MAX_DMA_CHANNELS definition. As a simple
workaround, just add a Kconfig dependency.

The virt_to_bus/bus_to_virt functions have been deprecated
for as long as I can remember, and they are used in very
few remaining instances, usually in obscure ISA device
drivers. The OSS sound drivers are the only ones that are
still used on the ARM architecture, and only on some of
the earliest StrongARM machines.
The problem for converting the OSS subsystem to use
dma_map_single instead is that the caller of virt_to_bus
does not have a device pointer, since the subsystem has
never been ported to use the common device infrastructure.

"chn" here is a number between 0 and 255, but ->chn_info[] only has
16 elements so there is a potential write beyond the end of the
array.
If the seq_mode isn't SEQ_2 then we let the individual drivers
(either opl3.c or midi_synth.c) handle it. Those functions all
do a bounds check on "chn" so I haven't changed anything here.
The opl3.c driver has up to 18 channels and not 16.

CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As result the __dev*
markings will be going away.
Remove use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst,
and __devexit.

"This contains pretty many small commits covering fairly large range of
files in sound/ directory. Partly because of additional API support
and partly because of constantly developed ASoC and ARM stuff.
Some highlights:
- Introduced the helper function and documentation for exposing the
channel map via control API, as discussed in Plumbers; most of PCI
drivers are covered, will follow more drivers later
- Most of drivers have been replaced with the new PM callbacks (if
the bus is supported)
- HD-audio controller got the support of runtime PM and the support
of D3 clock-stop. Also changing the power_save option in sysfs
kicks off immediately to enable / disable the power-save mode.
- Another significant code change in HD-audio is the rewrite of
firmware loading code. Other than that, most of changes in
HD-audio are continued cleanups and standardization for the generic
auto parser and bug fixes (HBR, device-specific fixups), in
addition to the support of channel-map API.
- Addition of ASoC bindings for the compressed API, used by the
mid-x86 drivers.
- Lots of cleanups and API refreshes for ASoC codec drivers and
DaVinci.
- Conversion of OMAP to dmaengine.
- New machine driver for Wolfson Microelectronics Bells.
- New CODEC driver for Wolfson Microelectronics WM0010.
- Enhancements to the ux500 and wm2000 drivers

Commit d56b9b9c464a10ab1ee51a4c6190a2b57b8ef7a6 ("The scheduled removal

Speed comes from get_user() in audio_ioctl(). We use it to set the "s"
variable before clamping it to valid values so it could lead to a divide
by zero bug.

At the point of this error-handling code, HAVE_DSPCODEH may be undefined,
so free INITCODE and PERMCODE as done elsewhere. A jump and label are
introduced to avoid code duplication.

module_param(bool) used to counter-intuitively take an int. In
fddd5201 (mid-2009) we allowed bool or int/unsigned int using a messy
trick.
It's time to remove the int/unsigned int option. For this version
it'll simply give a warning, but it'll break next kernel version.

sound_timer.info.name is a 32 character buffer. This function only
has one caller (in sound/oss/ad1848.c) and it passes as 128 character
buffer as "name". I don't know if this is a problem in real life,
and I doubt we're going to add more OSS drivers so it's unlikely to
become an issue. But we may as well take care of it.

There are numerous broken references to Documentation files (in other
Documentation files, in comments, etc.). These broken references are
caused by typo's in the references, and by renames or removals of the
Documentation files. Some broken references are simply odd.
Fix these broken references, sometimes by dropping the irrelevant text
they were part of.

Update the PAS16 driver to use PIT_TICK_RATE instead

Was: [PATCH] sound/oss/midi_synth: prevent underflow, use of
uninitialized value, and signedness issue
The offset passed to midi_synth_load_patch() can be essentially
arbitrary. If it's greater than the header length, this will result in
a copy_from_user(dst, src, negative_val). While this will just return
-EFAULT on x86, on other architectures this may cause memory corruption.
Additionally, the length field of the sysex_info structure may not be
initialized prior to its use. Finally, a signed comparison may result
in an unintentionally large loop.
On suggestion by Takashi Iwai, version two removes the offset argument
from the load_patch callbacks entirely, which also resolves similar
issues in opl3. Compile tested only.
v3 adjusts comments and hopefully gets copy offsets right.

Since OSS driver creates the device entries for /dev/audio* and
/dev/dspW* by itself without coping with sound_core, it leads to
conflicts with others and let sysfs spewing warnings.
This patch rewrites the registration part of OSS driver to use
the standard method also for additional minor devices.
