2015-10-29armv8/fsl_lsch3: Change arch to fsl-layerscapeMingkai Hu
There are two LS series processors are built on ARMv8 Layersacpe architecture currently, LS2085A and LS1043A. They are based on ARMv8 core although use different chassis, so create fsl-layerscape to refactor the common code for the LS series processors which also paves the way for adding LS1043A platform. 2015-08-24arm: pxa: use common timer functionsAndrew Ruder
This patch moves pxa to the common timer functions added in commit 8dfafdd - Introduce common timer functions <Rob Herring> The (removed) pxa timer code (specifically __udelay()) could deadlock at the 32-bit boundary of get_ticks(). get_ticks() returned a 32-bit value cast up to a 64-bit value. If get_ticks() + tmo in __udelay() crossed the 32-bit boundary, the while condition became unconditionally true and locked the processor. Rather than patch the specific pxa issues, simply move everything over to the common code. 2015-03-27ARMv8: enable pre-allocation mallocDavid Feng
Allocate memory space for pre-allocation malloc and zero global data. This code is partly from crt0.S. Signed-off-by: David Feng <fenghua@phytium.com.cn>
2014-09-08arm: ls102xa: Add Freescale LS102xA SoC supportWang Huan
The QorIQ LS1 family is built on Layerscape architecture, the industry's first software-aware, core-agnostic networking architecture to offer unprecedented efficiency and scale. Freescale LS102xA is a set of SoCs combines two ARM Cortex-A7 cores that have been optimized for high reliability and pack the highest level of integration available for sub-3 W embedded communications processors with Layerscape architecture and with a comprehensive enablement model focused on ease of programmability. 2014-08-04arm: Set up global data before board_init_f()Simon Glass
At present arm defines CONFIG_SYS_GENERIC_GLOBAL_DATA, meaning that the global_data pointer is set up in board_init_f(). However it is actually set up before this, it just isn't zeroed. If we zero the global data before calling board_init_f() then we don't need to define CONFIG_SYS_GENERIC_GLOBAL_DATA. Make this change (on arm32 only) to simplify the init process. I don't have the ability to test aarch64 yet. Signed-off-by: Simon Glass <sjg@chromium.org> Acked-by: Tom Rini <trini@ti.com>
2014-07-03ARMv8/FSL_LSCH3: Add FSL_LSCH3 SoCYork Sun
Freescale LayerScape with Chassis Generation 3 is a set of SoCs with ARMv8 cores and 3rd generation of Chassis. We use different MMU setup to support memory map and cache attribute for these SoCs. MMU and cache are enabled very early to bootst performance, especially for early development on emulators. After u-boot relocates to DDR, a new MMU table with QBMan cache access is created in DDR. SMMU pagesize is set in SMMU_sACR register. Both DDR3 and DDR4 are supported. 2014-05-12common/board_f: Initialized global data for generic boardYork Sun
Some platforms (tested on mpc85xx, mpc86xx) use global data before calling function baord_inti_f(). The data should not be cleared later. Any arch which uses global data in generic board board_init_f() should define CONFIG_SYS_GENERIC_GLOBAL_DATA. 2010-10-29Replace CONFIG_RELOC_FIXUP_WORKS by CONFIG_NEEDS_MANUAL_RELOCWolfgang Denk
By now, the majority of architectures have working relocation support, so the few remaining architectures have become exceptions. To make this more obvious, we make working relocation now the default case, and flag the remaining cases with CONFIG_NEEDS_MANUAL_RELOC. 2010-09-19ARM: add relocation supportHeiko Schocher
!! This breaks support for all arm boards !! To compile in old style, you must define CONFIG_SYS_ARM_WITHOUT_RELOC or you can compile with "CONFIG_SYS_ARM_WITHOUT_RELOC=1 ./MAKEALL board" !! This define will be removed soon, so convert your board to use relocation support Portions of this work were supported by funding from the CE Linux Forum. 2010-04-13Move architecture-specific includes to arch/$ARCH/include/asmPeter Tyser
