2017-04-07Remove various unused interrupt related codeTom Rini
With d53ecad92f06 some unused interrupt related code was removed. However all of these options are currently unused. Rather than migrate some of these options to Kconfig we just remove the code in question. The only related code changes here are that in some cases we use CONFIG_STACKSIZE in non-IRQ related context. 2016-07-19ARM: configs: cm_fx6: add mtd supportChristopher Spinrath
The cm-fx6 module has an on-board spi flash chip. Enable mtd support and the mtdparts command. Also define a default partitioning, add it to the default environment, and enable support to overwrite the partitioning defined in a device tree by it. Finally, probe for the chip on preboot to register the flash chip and, thus, establish the connection between the mtd environment settings and the actual device. These changes move the effective default partitioning from the device tree shipped with the vendor kernels to U-Boot which becomes the single point of definition for the partitioning for all device tree based kernels (in particular, for the upstream Linux kernel which does not have a default partitioning defined in its device tree). Currently, entire script segments have to be changed in the default environment to change the kernel image location or to append kernel cmdline parameters. In the later case this has to be changed for every possible boot device. Introduce new variables for kernel image locations and boot device independent kernel parameters to make it easier to change these settings. 2016-03-14Kconfig: Move CONFIG_FIT and related options to KconfigSimon Glass
There are already two FIT options in Kconfig but the CONFIG options are still in the header files. We need to do a proper move to fix this. Move these options to Kconfig and tidy up board configuration: CONFIG_FIT CONFIG_OF_BOARD_SETUP CONFIG_OF_SYSTEM_SETUP CONFIG_FIT_SIGNATURE CONFIG_FIT_BEST_MATCH CONFIG_FIT_VERBOSE CONFIG_OF_STDOUT_VIA_ALIAS CONFIG_RSA Unfortunately the first one is a little complicated. We need to make sure this option is not enabled in SPL by this change. Also this option is enabled automatically in the host builds by defining CONFIG_FIT in the image.h file. To solve this, add a new IMAGE_USE_FIT #define which can be used in files that are built on the host but must also build for U-Boot and SPL. Note: Masahiro's moveconfig.py script is amazing. 2015-10-02I2C: mxc_i2c: make I2C1 and I2C2 optionalAlbert ARIBAUD \\(3ADEV\\)
The driver assumed that I2C1 and I2C2 were always enabled, and if they were not, then an asynchronous abort was (silently) raised, to be caught much later on in the Linux kernel. Fix this by making I2C1 and I2C2 optional just like I2C3 and I2C4 are. To make the change binary-invariant, declare I2C1 and I2C2 in every include/configs/ file which defines CONFIG_SYS_I2C_MXC. Also, while updating README about CONFIG_SYS_I2C_MXC_I2C1 and CONFIG_SYS_I2C_MXC_I2C2, add missing descriptions for I2C4 speed (CONFIG_SYS_MXC_I2C4_SPEED) and slave (CONFIG_SYS_MXC_I2C4_SLAVE) config options. 2015-08-13kconfig: add config option for shell promptNikita Kiryanov
Add option to set shell prompt string from menuconfig and migrate boards globally. The migration is done as follows: - Boards that explicitly and unconditionally set CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT had the entry moved to their defconfig files. - Boards that defined some kind of #ifdef logic which selects the CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT (for example qemu-mips) got an #undef CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT right before the #ifdef logic and were left alone. - This change forces CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT to be a per board decision, and thus CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT was removed from all <soc>_common.h and <arch>_common.h files. This results in a streamlined default value across platforms, and includes the following files: spear-common, sunxi-common, mv-common, ti_armv7_common, tegra-common, at91-sama5_common, and zynq-common. - Boards that relied on <arch/soc>_common.h values of CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT were not updated in their respective defconfig files under the assumption that since they did not explicitly define a value, they're fine with whatever the default is. - On the other hand, boards that relied on a value defined in some <boards>_common.h file such as woodburn_common, rpi-common, bur_am335x_common, ls2085a_common, siemens_am33x_common, and omap3_evm_common, had their values moved to the respective defconfig files. - The define V_PROMPT was removed, since it is not used anywhere except for assigning a value for CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT. The new function does not init display if the environment variable "panel" is not defined, or if it is set to an unsupported value. Some archs/boards specify their own default by pre-defining the config which causes the Kconfig system to mix up the order of the configs in the defconfigs... This will cause merge pain if allowed to proliferate. Remove the configs that behave this way from the archs. A few configs still remain, but that is because they only exist as defaults and do not have a proper Kconfig entry. Move board/compulab/common/splash.c code to common/splash_source.c to make it available for everybody. This move renames cl_splash_screen_prepare() to splash_source_load(), and the compilation of this code is conditional on CONFIG_SPLASH_SOURCE. splash_source features: * Provide a standardized way for declaring board specific splash screen locations * Provide existing routines for auto loading the splash image from the locations as declared by the board * Introduce the "splashsource" environment variable, which makes it possible to select the splash image source. cm-t35 and cm-fx6 are updated to use the modified version. Since lib/Kconfig can assure that CONFIG_SYS_HZ is 1000, the sanity check in lib/time.c should be removed.
