2017-02-12flash: complete CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH move with renamingMasahiro Yamada
We repeated partial moves for CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH, but this is not completed. Finish this work by the tool. During this move, let's rename it to CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH. Actually, we have more instances of "#ifndef CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH" than those of "#ifdef CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH". Flipping the logic will make the code more readable. Besides, negative meaning symbols do not fit in obj-$(CONFIG_...) style Makefiles. This commit was created as follows: [1] Edit "default n" to "default y" in the config entry in common/Kconfig. 2017-01-31mmc: move CONFIG_GENERIC_MMC to KconfigMasahiro Yamada
Now, CONFIG_GENERIC_MMC seems equivalent to CONFIG_MMC. Let's create an entry for "config GENERIC_MMC" with "default MMC", then convert all macro defines in headers to Kconfig. Almost all of the defines will go away. I see only two exceptions: configs/blanche_defconfig configs/sandbox_noblk_defconfig They define CONFIG_GENERIC_MMC, but not CONFIG_MMC. Something might be wrong with these two boards, so should be checked later. Anyway, this is the output of the moveconfig tool. 2016-12-29mmc: complete unfinished move of CONFIG_MMCMasahiro Yamada
Commit 7a777f6d6f35 ("mmc: Add generic Kconfig option") created a Kconfig entry for this option without any actual moves, then commit 44c798799f66 ("sunxi: Use Kconfig CONFIG_MMC") moved instances only for SUNXI. We generally do not like such partial moves. This kind of work is automated by tools/moveconfig.py, so it is pretty easy to complete this move. I am adding "default ARM || PPC || SANDBOX" (suggested by Tom). This shortens the configs and will ease new board porting. 2015-10-02I2C: mxc_i2c: make I2C1 and I2C2 optionalAlbert ARIBAUD \\(3ADEV\\)
The driver assumed that I2C1 and I2C2 were always enabled, and if they were not, then an asynchronous abort was (silently) raised, to be caught much later on in the Linux kernel. Fix this by making I2C1 and I2C2 optional just like I2C3 and I2C4 are. To make the change binary-invariant, declare I2C1 and I2C2 in every include/configs/ file which defines CONFIG_SYS_I2C_MXC. Also, while updating README about CONFIG_SYS_I2C_MXC_I2C1 and CONFIG_SYS_I2C_MXC_I2C2, add missing descriptions for I2C4 speed (CONFIG_SYS_MXC_I2C4_SPEED) and slave (CONFIG_SYS_MXC_I2C4_SLAVE) config options. MMC partition switch failed This issue is caused by the incorrect usage of CONFIG_SYS_MMC_ENV_PART. CONFIG_SYS_MMC_ENV_PART should be used to specify the mmc partition that stores the environment variables. On some imx boards it is been incorrectly used to pass the partition of kernel and dtb files for the 'mmcpart' script variable. Remove the CONFIG_SYS_MMC_ENV_PART usage and configure the 'mmcpart' variable directly. Add support for the Samsung K9LAG08U0M NAND Flash (2-GiB MLC NAND Flash, 2-kiB pages, 256-kiB blocks, 30-ns R/W cycles, 1 CS) on mx53ard. eNFC_CLK_ROOT is set up with a cycle time of 37.5 ns (400 MHz / 3 / 5) for this board, which satisfies the 30-ns NF R/W cycle requirement. 2011-12-06MX: serial_mxc: cleanup removing nasty #ifdefStefano Babic
The serial driver for iMX SOCs is continuosly changed if a new SOC or not yet used port is used. CONFIG_SYS_<SOC>_<UART Port> defines were used only to find the base address for the selected UART. Instead of that, move the base address to the board configuration file and drop all #ifdef from driver.
