2014-07-25board: Add CONFIG_SYS_GENERIC_BOARD to all gdsys boardsDirk Eibach
Add the generic board infrastructure to all gdsys boards. Signed-off-by: Dirk Eibach <dirk.eibach@gdsys.cc> Signed-off-by: Stefan Roese <sr@denx.de>
2014-07-07fit: make sha256 support optionalDirk Eibach
sha256 has some beefy memory footprint. Make it optional for constrained systems. Signed-off-by: Dirk Eibach <dirk.eibach@gdsys.cc>
2014-07-07board: gdsys: Remove commands to reduce footprintDirk Eibach
Commit "2842c1c fit: add sha256 support" badly increased memory footprint, so some of our boards did not build anymore. Since monitor base must not be changed I removed some commands to save memory. Maybe making sha256 optional for fit would be an option for the future since it really has some beefy footprint. Signed-off-by: Dirk Eibach <dirk.eibach@gdsys.cc>
2014-01-24powerpc: ppc4xx: remove redundant CONFIG_4xx definitionMasahiro Yamada
We do not have to define CONFIG_4xx in board config headers because it is defined in arch/powerpc/cpu/ppc4xx/config.mk. include/configs/JSE.h defines "CONFIG_4x", not "CONFIG_4xx". I believe it is a typo because "CONFIG_4x" is not used at all in other files. So, I also deleted "CONFIG_4x" in include/configs/JSE.h. Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.m@jp.panasonic.com>

2013-07-25powerpc/ppc4xx: Remove CONFIG_SYS_FLASH_PROTECTION from gdsys boardsDirk Eibach
CONFIG_SYS_FLASH_PROTECTION was active on most gdsys boards by default, while hardware flash protection was not implemented. Hardware support was added recently and we get into trouble because backward compatibility is broken (u-boot can't unprotect the protected flash after a downgrade). So we decided to disable hardware flash protection for all our boards. Signed-off-by: Dirk Eibach <dirk.eibach@gdsys.cc> Signed-off-by: Stefan Roese <sr@denx.de>
2013-07-25powerpc/ppc4xx: Use generic accessor functions for gdsys FPGADirk Eibach
A set of accessor functions was added to be able to access not only memory mapped FPGA in a generic way. Thanks to Wolfgang Denk for getting this sorted properly. Signed-off-by: Dirk Eibach <dirk.eibach@gdsys.cc> Signed-off-by: Stefan Roese <sr@denx.de>
2013-07-24Merge branch 'master' of git://git.denx.de/u-boot-i2cTom Rini
The sandburst-specific i2c drivers have been deleted, conflict was just over the SPDX conversion. Conflicts: board/sandburst/common/ppc440gx_i2c.c board/sandburst/common/ppc440gx_i2c.h Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@ti.com>

2012-04-30powerpc/ppc4xx: Make gdsys 405ep boards reset more genericDirk Eibach
In order to add boards that have different hardware for fpga reset, any 405ep gdsys board now provides these functions: void gd405ep_init(void); void gd405ep_set_fpga_reset(unsigned state); void gd405ep_setup_hw(void); int gd405ep_get_fpga_done(unsigned fpga); Signed-off-by: Dirk Eibach <eibach@gdsys.de> Cc: Stefan Roese <sr@denx.de> Signed-off-by: Stefan Roese <sr@denx.de>
2012-04-30powerpc/ppc4xx: Adjust environment size on neoDirk Eibach
Environment size on neo has to be 0x20000 for compatibilty reasons. Signed-off-by: Dirk Eibach <eibach@gdsys.de> Cc: Stefan Roese <sr@denx.de> Signed-off-by: Stefan Roese <sr@denx.de>
2010-10-26Replace CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE by auto-generated valueWolfgang Denk
CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE has always been just a bad workarond for not being able to use "sizeof(struct global_data)" in assembler files. Recent experience has shown that manual synchronization is not reliable enough. This patch renames CONFIG_SYS_GBL_DATA_SIZE into GENERATED_GBL_DATA_SIZE which gets automatically generated by the asm-offsets tool. In the result, all definitions of this value can be deleted from the board config files. We have to make sure that all files that reference such data include the new <asm-offsets.h> file. No other changes have been done yet, but it is obvious that similar changes / simplifications can be done for other, related macro definitions as well. 2010-10-26Rename CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_END into CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_SIZEWolfgang Denk
CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_END was a misnomer as it suggests this might be some end address; to make the meaning more clear we rename it into CONFIG_SYS_INIT_RAM_SIZE No other code changes are performed in this patch, only minor editing of white space (due to the changed length) and the comments was done, where noticed. Note that the code for the PATI and cmi_mpc5xx board configurations looks seriously broken. 2010-10-18Makefile: move all Power Architecture boards into boards.cfgWolfgang Denk
Clean up Makefile, and drop a lot of the config.mk files on the way. We now also automatically pick all boards that are listed in boards.cfg (and with all configurations), so we can drop the redundant entries from MAKEALL to avoid building these twice. Signed-off-by: Wolfgang Denk <wd@denx.de>
2010-09-23Remove unused CONFIG_SERIAL_SOFTWARE_FIFO featureStefan Roese
This patch removes the completely unused CONFIG_SERIAL_SOFTWARE_FIFO feature from U-Boot. It has only been implemented for PPC4xx and was not used at all. So let's remove it and make the code smaller and cleaner. Signed-off-by: Stefan Roese <sr@denx.de> Acked-by: Detlev Zundel <dzu@denx.de>
2010-09-23ppc4xx: Use common NS16550 driver for PPC4xx UARTStefan Roese
This patch removes the PPC4xx UART driver. Instead the common NS16550 driver is used, since all PPC4xx SoC's use this peripheral device. The file 4xx_uart.c now only implements the UART clock calculation function which also sets the SoC internal UART divisors. All PPC4xx board config headers are changed to use this common NS16550 driver now. Tested on these boards: acadia, canyonlands, katmai, kilauea, sequoia, zeus Signed-off-by: Stefan Roese <sr@denx.de>
