2017-05-15omap3: Migrate CONFIG_OMAP3_GPIO_X to KconfigTom Rini
The symbols CONFIG_OMAP3_GPIO_X control if we enable the clocks for a given GPIO bank in U-Boot. select the required banks for each target. In some cases we need to also migrate from CONFIG_USB_EHCI (deprecated, in include/configs/) to CONFIG_USB_EHCI_HCD as we only require the GPIO bank to be enabled if USB is also enabled. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2017-05-15gpio: Move OMAP_GPIO to KconfigTom Rini
This driver is used often enough such that we want to have this enabled by default on any ARCH_OMAP2PLUS board, and this only compiles on ARCH_OMAP2PLUS due to required defines, so mark that as the depends. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2017-05-15TI: Drop 'CONFIG_OMAP'Tom Rini
In the two cases in the code where we use CONFIG_OMAP as a useful test currently we can make use of CONFIG_ARCH_OMAP2PLUS instead. With that changed we can drop all defines of CONFIG_OMAP. While in here, CONFIG_OMAP3430 is only defined and then never used, so drop. Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>

With the addition of Kconfig now having CONFIG_TWL4030_POWER and with that being the default when OMAP34XX is selected, this is no longer needed in include/configs and can be removed from the whitelist. 2017-03-19arm: Migrate SYS_THUMB_BUILD to Kconfig, introduce SPL_SYS_THUMB_BUILDTom Rini
Today, we have cases where we wish to build all of U-Boot in Thumb2 mode for various reasons. We also have cases where we only build SPL in Thumb2 mode due to size constraints and wish to build the rest of the system in ARM mode. So in this migration we introduce a new symbol as well, SPL_SYS_THUMB_BUILD to control if we build everything or just SPL (or in theory, just U-Boot) in Thumb2 mode. 2017-03-10ARM: Migrate errata to KconfigTom Rini
This moves all of the current ARM errata from various header files and in to Kconfig. This allows for a minor amount of cleanup as we had some instances where both a general common header file was enabling errata as well as the board config. We now just select these once at the higher level in Kconfig Signed-off-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>
2017-02-12flash: complete CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH move with renamingMasahiro Yamada
We repeated partial moves for CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH, but this is not completed. Finish this work by the tool. During this move, let's rename it to CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH. Actually, we have more instances of "#ifndef CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH" than those of "#ifdef CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH". Flipping the logic will make the code more readable. Besides, negative meaning symbols do not fit in obj-$(CONFIG_...) style Makefiles. This commit was created as follows: [1] Edit "default n" to "default y" in the config entry in common/Kconfig. [2] Run "tools/moveconfig.py -y -r HEAD SYS_NO_FLASH" [3] Rename the instances in defconfigs by the following: find . -path './configs/*_defconfig' | xargs sed -i \ -e '/CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH=y/d' \ -e 's/# CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH is not set/CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH=y/' [4] Change the conditionals by the following: find . -name '*.[ch]' | xargs sed -i \ -e 's/ifndef CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH/ifdef CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH/' \ -e 's/ifdef CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH/ifndef CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH/' \ -e 's/!defined(CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH)/defined(CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH)/' \ -e 's/defined(CONFIG_SYS_NO_FLASH)/!defined(CONFIG_MTD_NOR_FLASH)/' [5] Modify the following manually - Rename the rest of instances - Remove the description from README - Create the new Kconfig entry in drivers/mtd/Kconfig - Remove the old Kconfig entry from common/Kconfig - Remove the garbage comments from include/configs/*.h Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.masahiro@socionext.com>
2017-01-31mmc: move CONFIG_GENERIC_MMC to KconfigMasahiro Yamada
Now, CONFIG_GENERIC_MMC seems equivalent to CONFIG_MMC. Let's create an entry for "config GENERIC_MMC" with "default MMC", then convert all macro defines in headers to Kconfig. Almost all of the defines will go away. I see only two exceptions: configs/blanche_defconfig configs/sandbox_noblk_defconfig They define CONFIG_GENERIC_MMC, but not CONFIG_MMC. Something might be wrong with these two boards, so should be checked later. Anyway, this is the output of the moveconfig tool. This commit was created as follows: [1] create a config entry in drivers/mmc/Kconfig [2] tools/moveconfig.py -r HEAD GENERIC_MMC [3] manual clean-up of garbage comments in doc/README.* and include/configs/*.h Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.masahiro@socionext.com> Reviewed-by: Tom Rini <trini@konsulko.com>

2016-12-29mmc: complete unfinished move of CONFIG_MMCMasahiro Yamada
Commit 7a777f6d6f35 ("mmc: Add generic Kconfig option") created a Kconfig entry for this option without any actual moves, then commit 44c798799f66 ("sunxi: Use Kconfig CONFIG_MMC") moved instances only for SUNXI. We generally do not like such partial moves. This kind of work is automated by tools/moveconfig.py, so it is pretty easy to complete this move. I am adding "default ARM || PPC || SANDBOX" (suggested by Tom). This shortens the configs and will ease new board porting. 2016-09-06TI: Rework SRAM definitions and maximumsTom Rini
On all TI platforms the ROM defines a "downloaded image" area at or near the start of SRAM which is followed by a reserved area. As it is at best bad form and at worst possibly harmful in corner cases to write in this reserved area, we stop doing that by adding in the define NON_SECURE_SRAM_IMG_END to say where the end of the downloaded image area is and make SRAM_SCRATCH_SPACE_ADDR be one kilobyte before this. At current we define the end of scratch space at 0x228 bytes past the start of scratch space this this gives us a lot of room to grow. As these scratch uses are non-optional today, all targets are modified to respect this boundary. 2016-08-26ARM: Move SYS_CACHELINE_SIZE over to KconfigTom Rini
This series moves the CONFIG_SYS_CACHELINE_SIZE. First, in nearly all cases we are mirroring the values used by the Linux Kernel here. Also, so long as (and in this case, it is true) we implement flushes in hunks that are no larger than the smallest implementation (and given that we mirror the Linux Kernel, again we are fine) it is OK to align higher. The biggest changes here are that we always use 64 bytes for CPU_V7 even if for example the underlying core is only 32 bytes (this mirrors Linux). Second, we say ARM64 uses 64 bytes not 128 (as found in the Linux Kernel) as we do not need multi-platform support (to this degree) and only the Cavium ThunderX 88xx series has a use for such large alignment. 2016-07-01autoboot: remove CONFIG_ZERO_BOOTDELAY_CHECKMasahiro Yamada
As the help message of CONFIG_BOOTDELAY says, CONFIG_BOOTDELAY=-2 means the autoboot with no delay, with no abort check even if CONFIG_ZERO_BOOTDELAY_CHECK is defined. To sum up, the autoboot behaves as follows: [1] CONFIG_BOOTDELAY=0 && CONFIG_ZERO_BOOTDELAY_CHECK=y autoboot with no delay, but you can abort it by key input [2] CONFIG_BOOTDELAY=0 && CONFIG_ZERO_BOOTDELAY_CHECK=n autoboot with no delay, with no check for abort [3] CONFIG_BOOTDELAY=-1 disable autoboot [4] CONFIG_BOOTDELAY=-2 autoboot with no delay, with no check for abort As you notice, [2] and [4] come to the same result, which means we do not need CONFIG_ZERO_BOOTDELAY_CHECK. 2016-01-31armv7: add cacheline sizes where missingAlbert ARIBAUD
Some armv7 targets are missing a cache line size declaration. In preparation for "arm: cache: Implement cache range check for v7" patch, add these declarations with the appropriate value for the target's SoC or CPU. 2015-11-22eeprom: Zap CONFIG_SYS_I2C_MULTI_EEPROMSMarek Vasut
This option only complicates the code unnecessarily, just use CONFIG_SYS_DEF_EEPROM_ADDR as the default address if there are only five arguments to eeprom {read/write} if this is defined. If CONFIG_SYS_DEF_EEPROM_ADDR is not defined, we mandate all six arguments. 2015-11-10tricorder: switch to CONFIG_SYS_THUMB_BUILDAlbert ARIBAUD
The tricorder and tricorder_flash boards have grown too big. Reduce their size by building them with CONFIG_SYS_THUMB_BUILD. Signed-off-by: Albert ARIBAUD <albert.u.boot@aribaud.net>
2015-10-24arm, powerpc: select SYS_GENERIC_BOARDMasahiro Yamada
We have finished Generic Board conversion for ARM and PowerPC, i.e. all the boards have been converted except OpenRISC, SuperH, SPARC, which have not supported Generic Board framework yet. Select SYS_GENERIC_BOARD in arch/Kconfig and delete all the macro defines in include/configs/*.h. Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <yamada.masahiro@socionext.com>
2015-08-13kconfig: add config option for shell promptNikita Kiryanov
Add option to set shell prompt string from menuconfig and migrate boards globally. The migration is done as follows: - Boards that explicitly and unconditionally set CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT had the entry moved to their defconfig files. - Boards that defined some kind of #ifdef logic which selects the CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT (for example qemu-mips) got an #undef CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT right before the #ifdef logic and were left alone. - This change forces CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT to be a per board decision, and thus CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT was removed from all <soc>_common.h and <arch>_common.h files. This results in a streamlined default value across platforms, and includes the following files: spear-common, sunxi-common, mv-common, ti_armv7_common, tegra-common, at91-sama5_common, and zynq-common. - Boards that relied on <arch/soc>_common.h values of CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT were not updated in their respective defconfig files under the assumption that since they did not explicitly define a value, they're fine with whatever the default is. - On the other hand, boards that relied on a value defined in some <boards>_common.h file such as woodburn_common, rpi-common, bur_am335x_common, ls2085a_common, siemens_am33x_common, and omap3_evm_common, had their values moved to the respective defconfig files. - The define V_PROMPT was removed, since it is not used anywhere except for assigning a value for CONFIG_SYS_PROMPT.
