2011-05-12ARM: use ARM_DMA_ZONE_SIZE to adjust the zone sizesRussell King
Rather than each platform providing its own function to adjust the zone sizes, use the new ARM_DMA_ZONE_SIZE definition to perform this adjustment. This ensures that the actual DMA zone size and the ISA_DMA_THRESHOLD/MAX_DMA_ADDRESS definitions are consistent with each other, and moves this complexity out of the platform code. 2011-05-12ARM: Replace platform definition of ISA_DMA_THRESHOLD/MAX_DMA_ADDRESSRussell King
The values of ISA_DMA_THRESHOLD and MAX_DMA_ADDRESS are related; one is the physical/bus address, the other is the virtual address. Both need to be kept in step, so rather than having platforms define both, allow them to define a single macro which sets both of these macros appropraitely. 2011-05-07ARM: zImage: remove the static qualifier from global data variablesNicolas Pitre
To be able to relocate the .bss section at run time independently from the rest of the code, we must make sure that no GOTOFF relocations are used with .bss symbols. This usually means that no global variables can be marked static unless they're also const. Let's remove the static qualifier from current offenders, or turn them into const variables when possible. Next commit will ensure the build fails if one of those is reintroduced due to otherwise enforced coding standards for the kernel. 2011-04-13ARM: pxa: convert incorrect IRQ_TO_IRQ() to irq_to_gpio()Eric Miao
This fixes the failure to register the IRQ_RTCAlrm alarm as a wakeup event. It is misinterpreted as a gpio irq not a PWER bitmask. Fixed this by converting the incorrect IRQ_TO_IRQ() to a correct version of irq_to_gpio(). Reported-by: Nick Bane <nickbane1@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Eric Miao <eric.y.miao@gmail.com>

2010-12-20ARM: pxa: Push Colibri evalboard MFP into module filesMarek Vasut
This change -- pushing the MFP configuration back into Module files -- is necessary because some evalboards can be used with multiple modules, where MFP differs from module to module. Therefore MFP isn't board-specific, but module-specific and the module should preconfigure itself for the board. 2010-12-16ARM: pxa: redefine the cpu_is_pxa3xxHaojian Zhuang
After introducing pxa930/pxa935 and new silicons, original cpuid rules of XScale generation 3 can't fit new silicons. Now redefine the rule of PXA3xx. Only PXA300/PXA310/PXA320/PXA930/PXA935 are family members of PXA3xx. PXA930/PXA935 are family members of PXA93x. PXA93x can be considered as PXA3xx + CP. 2010-12-16ARM: pxa: Access SMEMC via virtual addressesMarek Vasut
This is important because on PXA3xx, the physical mapping of SMEMC registers differs from the one on PXA2xx. In order to get PCMCIA working on both PXA2xx and PXA320, the PCMCIA driver was adjusted accordingly as well. Also, various places in the kernel had to be patched to use __raw_read/__raw_write. 2010-12-01arm/pxa2xx: reorgazine SSP and SPI header filesSebastian Andrzej Siewior
The PXA-SPI driver relies on some files / defines which are arm specific and are within the ARM tree. The CE4100 SoC which is x86 has also the SPI core. This patch moves the ssp and spi files from arm/mach-pxa and plat-pxa to include/linux where the CE4100 can access them. This move got verified by building the following defconfigs: cm_x2xx_defconfig corgi_defconfig em_x270_defconfig ezx_defconfig imote2_defconfig pxa3xx_defconfig spitz_defconfig zeus_defconfig raumfeld_defconfig magician_defconfig Signed-off-by: Sebastian Andrzej Siewior <bigeasy@linutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Dirk Brandewie <dirk.brandewie@gmail.com>
2010-10-20arm: return both physical and virtual addresses from addruartJeremy Kerr
Rather than checking the MMU status in every instance of addruart, do it once in kernel/debug.S, and change the existing addruart macros to return both physical and virtual addresses. The main debug code can then select the appropriate address to use. This will also allow us to retreive the address of a uart for the MMU state that we're not current in. 2010-09-23arm: fix "arm: fix pci_set_consistent_dma_mask for dmabounce devices"FUJITA Tomonori
This fixes the regression caused by the commit 6fee48cd330c68 ("dma-mapping: arm: use generic pci_set_dma_mask and pci_set_consistent_dma_mask"). ARM needs to clip the dma coherent mask for dmabounce devices. This restores the old trick. Note that strictly speaking, the DMA API doesn't allow architectures to do such but I'm not sure it's worth adding the new API to set the dma mask that allows architectures to clip it.
