2013-12-04rtlwifi: rtl8188ee: Fix smatch warning in rtl8188ee/hw.cLarry Finger
commit dab3df5e88b979f8d09860f873ccfaa7a55758d2 upstream. Smatch lists the following: CHECK drivers/net/wireless/rtlwifi/rtl8188ee/hw.c drivers/net/wireless/rtlwifi/rtl8188ee/hw.c:149 _rtl88ee_set_fw_clock_on() info: ignoring unreachable code. drivers/net/wireless/rtlwifi/rtl8188ee/hw.c:149 _rtl88ee_set_fw_clock_on() info: ignoring unreachable code. This info message is the result of a real error due to a missing break statement in a "while (1)" loop. Signed-off-by: Larry Finger <Larry.Finger@lwfinger.net> Signed-off-by: John W. 2013-09-04drivers/net: Convert uses of compare_ether_addr to ether_addr_equalJoe Perches
Use the new bool function ether_addr_equal to add some clarity and reduce the likelihood for misuse of compare_ether_addr for sorting. Done via cocci script: (and a little typing) $ cat compare_ether_addr.cocci @@ expression a,b; @@ - !compare_ether_addr(a, b) + ether_addr_equal(a, b) @@ expression a,b; @@ - compare_ether_addr(a, b) + !ether_addr_equal(a, b) @@ expression a,b; @@ - !ether_addr_equal(a, b) == 0 + ether_addr_equal(a, b) @@ expression a,b; @@ - !ether_addr_equal(a, b) != 0 + !ether_addr_equal(a, b) @@ expression a,b; @@ - ether_addr_equal(a, b) == 0 + !ether_addr_equal(a, b) @@ expression a,b; @@ - ether_addr_equal(a, b) != 0 + ether_addr_equal(a, b) @@ expression a,b; @@ - !!ether_addr_equal(a, b) + ether_addr_equal(a, b) Signed-off-by: Joe Perches <joe@perches.com> Signed-off-by: David S. 2013-05-17rtlwifi: rtl8188ee: Fix warning when building on big-endian systemsLarry Finger
In http://lkml.indiana.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/1305.1/index.html, Geert Uytterhoeven reports a new warning when building 3.10-rc1 in this driver. This is caused by using a "#if" test to see if __LITTLE_ENDIAN is set, which fails for all big-endian systems. Change to "ifdef". 2013-04-10rtlwifi: rtl8188ee: Fix loop that ends earlyLarry Finger
In routine _rtl8188e_read_power_value_fromprom(), there are loops initializing index_cck_base and index_bw40_base from the PROM. As the result of a typo, the second loop is ended one element too soon.
